Over the last 15 years, I have seen hundreds of patients and helped them through various issues, including depression, anxiety, bipolar and borderline personality disorders, schizophrenia, psychosis, attention deficit disorder (with or without hyperactivity), and other mental illnesses. I use a variety of modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral, Solution Focused, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy. I have worked with individuals, groups, and families in both inpatient and outpatient settings. After witnessing a lack of options, I entered the mental health field and prioritized creating more access to these services.

Does everyday feel like a struggle? Does motivation feel harder to come by? Let's talk about it! Since the beginning of the pandemic, there has been an increase in reports of anxiety and depression. There are more people seeking treatment for the first time. Due to the increase in people seeking help, there has also been an increase in adults diagnosed ADHD. Did you know depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder are commonly co-occurring with ADHD? Sometimes, they can even have overlapping symptoms like difficulty with sleep, anger/rage outburst, difficulty with concentration, mood swings, difficulty with motivation, etc.

Bipolar Disorder Therapists
The defining feature of bipolar disorder is mania. It can be the triggering episode of the disorder, followed by a depressive episode, or it can first manifest after years of depressive episodes. The switch between mania and depression can be abrupt, and moods can oscillate rapidly. But while an episode of mania is what distinguishes bipolar disorder from depression, a person may spend far more time in a depressed state than in a manic or hypomanic one.
