The brain is connected to ALL your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors AND can be changed! I provide counseling but also have over a decade of experience with Neurofeedback, a tool to help the communication code that occurs in the brain, rewire, and strengthen neuronal connections to lower anxiety, depression, and improve attention, sleep , and memory.
Counseling is not about getting advice. It's about processing what you have going on and figuring out how to take next steps in the places of life where you feel stuck, discouraged, sad, or lost. Counseling is about having someone there with you to help you sort things out, support you, and even sometimes challenge you to move forward with your goals. I use brain-based research and easy-to-use tools to work with a variety of issues including anxiety, depression, and age-related issues.

I have specialized training in perinatal mental health concerns, trauma, insomnia , and parenting support.
There's Instagram motherhood... and then there's reality. When people ask how you're doing, do you choke back the pain and force a smile? Pretend like everything is great when it's not? Maybe you're actually feeling depressed, anxious, or irritable. Or you're having scary and intrusive thoughts. Maybe you've had a traumatic birth, are having difficulty adjusting to parenthood or bonding with your baby, or are experiencing loss and grief. If you feel alone and unsupported in navigating the challenges of pregnancy, postpartum, and parenting, then I want you to know it doesn't have to be that way! With help, this will get better.

If you have been plagued with worry resulting in cycling and negative thoughts, fear and doubt, trauma, sadness, stress, sleep disruption, and substance abuse, I can help.
Through neuroscience and eclectic treatment approaches the client learns to develop new neuropathways in their brain and reframe old thought patterns and traumatic events. I use a whole health approach to address the entire body. I provide neurofeedback in addition to psychotherapy services. A fun fact about me is that I lived in Thailand for about a year and the experience completely changed my life. My goal was to go and help other people. But, I left feeling that I was the one helped by the people and the culture. My worldview changed about people, we really need each other.
