Life sometimes presents us with unexpected or even unwanted challenges, and having support and guidance can make navigating them much easier. Being a member of the LGBTQIA+ community is a beautiful and empowering experience, but it often comes with its own set of difficulties. These can include struggles with self-acceptance, seeking acceptance from others, dealing with bullying and harassment, expressing our true selves, finding a sense of belonging, and building healthy, stable relationships. On top of these community-specific challenges, we also face the broader mental and emotional hurdles that everyone encounters in life.

Whether you're navigating addiction, mood challenges, or the complicated place where both meet, you deserve care that sees the whole picture — not just one piece of it. Recovery isn't only about stopping something. It's about building a life that makes stopping possible.

My approach to therapy lies largely within the framework of Coherence Therapy - a newer approach to treatment that is different from many others. Instead of viewing something as "negative" or "wrong" and trying to change it, the focus is to genuinely understand a person's symptoms on a deep emotional level. Often, the symptoms we experience lead to us feeling stuck. A deep understanding of why someone feels stuck entails addressing the cause of a problem to eliminate it at its roots rather than simply maintaining management of the symptom. I truly believe that this approach leads to genuine, meaningful, and lasting change.

I am now offering telehealth sessions. I believe that you are endowed with the power and energy to overcome any obstacle in life, but sometimes, when overwhelmed with life's challenges, you lose contact with your own power. I can help you regain balance in life and regain forward momentum to living the life you are destined to live. I am particularly interested in working with individuals struggling with life transitions, those who are walking through loss, and those struggling with addictions and/or substance abuse.

My focus is to provide a supportive space where individuals feel seen, valued, and empowered during life’s most challenging moments. I believe people possess deep resilience, though anxiety, stress, and past experiences can sometimes make that strength difficult to access. Using a holistic, person-centered approach, I help clients reconnect with their sense of worth while working toward meaningful and sustainable change.

Your family is struggling. You and your spouse/child aren't talking. Would you like you and your child to get along better, learn how to grow? Seeing your child in pain or struggle can be one of the hardest battles ever fought. As a family, learn how to strengthen your bond with your child and as a parent in a safe, non-judgmental environment.
