I have experience working with couples for premarital counseling, communication problems, infidelity, parenting, and blended family issues.
When I work with clients, I am looking for thought and behavioral patterns that we can assess, question and modify, as needed. I often rely on cognitive behavioral therapy and the Gottman method. I also provide faith-based counseling if requested.

Has your relationship become an angry, sad, or scary place leaving you feeling alone, hurt and discouraged? Are you and your partner feeling lost in conflict cycles you don’t understand and desperately want to change? Many of the couples I work with come to therapy feeling just like you. I understand how much courage it takes to reach out for help and to let another person get inside your relationship, especially when you are feeling so vulnerable. If you are searching for a safe place to explore what's not working in your relationship, and support in creating solutions, I can help.

I help couples and high-achieving partners facing burnout, disconnection, infidelity, or the painful feeling they may have made a mistake in being together.
Every conversation turns into a fight. You start with something small, a comment, a question, a sigh, and before you know it, you’re arguing again. You both walk away hurt, misunderstood, or silent. The love is still there, but it’s buried under resentment, mistrust, and exhaustion. Maybe you’re wondering, “How did we get here?” or “Why can’t we just talk without it turning into a battle?” You miss the connection you once had, but lately it feels like you’re living parallel lives.

People that come to see me are individuals and couples who feel stuck in patterns of disconnection, self-doubt, or emotional overwhelm. They may be carrying the weight of anxiety, depression, trauma, or relationship struggles that they know they want to get out of but don't quite know the way through. They long for safety, clarity and belonging. Some want to reconnect with their partner after months or years of conflict or distance; others hope to feel more at home in themselves, yearning to untangle the shame or pain that keeps them from living fully.

Infidelity Therapists

How does therapy for infidelity work?

A skilled infidelity therapist will provide a safe space for clients to communicate their feelings and concerns. The goal is to be completely honest about what led to the cheating and how it has affected the entire family to prevent it from recurring in the future. The therapist will help the clients work on rebuilding mutual trust and respect and developing better communication and conflict-resolution skills. If the goal is to remain a couple, clients will learn the “danger signs” for their specific relationship, and they will make a renewed commitment to be faithful.

How long does therapy for infidelity take?

Recovery from infidelity can take time, and it can vary from person to person. Generally, a therapist will want to see the clients at least once a week for around six months. Then the sessions can be arranged as needed, depending on the clients’ individual needs. While therapy may end or shift to an as-needed basis, it can take up to two years or more for some clients to fully recover from infidelity.

How does therapy help the partner who was cheated on?

When a client discovers their partner’s infidelity, their trust in the relationship and in the life they had together may be shattered. They often experience mental health symptoms, such as anxiety, depression, grief, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). They don’t always want to stay in the relationship; they may feel ambivalent or may even want to leave. Therapy gives these clients a safe and healthy way to communicate all of their complicated emotions and concerns.

How does therapy help the partner who committed infidelity?

Infidelity often occurs when one or both partners’ emotional needs are not being met in the relationship. Therapy can help this client understand why they cheated and figure out how to address those unmet needs without resorting to infidelity in the future. This can lessen (but not entirely eliminate) the risk of repeated infidelity. Clients who cheat may also feel intense guilt about deceiving their partners, a sentiment that they can work through in therapy.
