I work with individual adults, couples, families, and children (ages 3 - 10) and together we curate helpful ways to cope with everyday life and relationships.
I work with children through play therapy. The language of play is a powerful and curative way in which children express and process life events and emotions they are unable to articulate with words.

We teach social skills to children and teens, helping with self-esteem and confidence building.
We can provide a number of different ways to connect with kids in counseling. We have several therapists on staff who are each unique individuals trained to use their unique personality to help kids and families. We have several different play therapy rooms – and use the one that is most fitting for any particular kid. We have a number of options for teens – from sitting in a ‘regular’ room with couch and chairs, to playing ping pong on the ping pong table while talking, or chatting while playing pool at the pool table or playing a game. We have an art room to allow for artistic expression of feelings, and some of us connect over baking cookies with the kids! For parents we have regular meeting rooms with couches and easy chairs, to a conference room when we need a table to sit at. We have rooms for groups to work on social skills together.

I work with children, adults & couples.
The most important aspect of therapy is a trusting relationship in which one feels valued, understood, recognized and seen. I work with people who want to understand the connections between past experiences and patterns in their current lives to have more satisfying relationships. The people I work with want to feel connected to others, repair past relationships, participate in corrective and reparatory experiences, understand their feelings, actions and thoughts, and be at peace with themselves. Many suffer from depression, anxiety, trauma, body image or eating, and find themselves in challenging periods of transitions.

My specialties include Play Therapy, anxiety, depression, child/adolescent issues, parent education, trauma and abuse, wellness and eating disorder recovery.
I believe that each individual, regardless of age, has the ability to grow and change given the proper tools and support. By providing a meaningful and nurturing environment, I lay the groundwork for personal insight and transformation to occur. I use a non-directive Person Centered Approach to counseling which often involves expressive arts and games. At times, when a more directive approach is appropriate, I use cognitive and/or behavioral techniques.

I provide treatment to children, teens, and adults suffering from a range of symptoms.
I approach my practice with children from a Child-Centered Play Therapy perspective with a focus on raising clients' emotional baseline, developing autonomy and self-trust, and providing a space for clients to grow and heal. If I am able to help client's develop trust and confidence in themselves, they can tackle any obstacle on their own in the future.

I am passionate about helping hopeless individuals, children and couples rekindle the gifts of joy, playfulness and connection.
You know there is something wrong yet you can't point it out. You feel lost and you feel like you are drowning with no escape. You want to feel better so you are searching the internet looking for answers and help, yet, you may feel anxious or stressed about having to start all over again on the life you worked so hard and dreamed of. You have memories of a once happy life and now you feel it is crumbling down and it is out of your control and you are saddened because you have invested so much. Your life doesn't feel the same and there is not enough energy or connection to repair the caused damages.

Through Play and Activity Therapy, I help children and teens become aware of their emotions, learn coping strategies, gain self-awareness, and a sense of control.
Life often presents challenges that obscure the path toward being the best version of ourselves. Our work together can bring light to this darkness by exploring and meeting challenges one by one in a nonjudgmental space. I'm passionate about helping people across the lifespan navigate through life's bumpy journey.

We understand the challenge of knowing that your child is suffering (through symptoms of anxiety, sadness, aggression, defiance and/or low self esteem) but not knowing exactly how to support them.
When working with kiddos, we use play therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy methods that allow for a gentle healing process to unfold. We also work closely with parents to learn skills to attune more deeply to their children. What makes us unique is our dedication to setting clear treatment goals to support the whole family in a 12-week therapy process.
