I am a licensed psychologist who is passionate about providing high-quality, effective, evidence-based treatment with children, adolescents, and adults in the Dallas Metroplex area. I help teach Dialectical Behavioral Skills and tools that minimize emotional distress, impulsivity, and high risk behaviors. I believe strongly in working together with parents and families to strengthen communication and decrease conflict. My primary goal is to instill hope, balance, and healing that increase you or your child's quality of life.

I have been seeing clients for 12 years in different locations, 5 years in my own practice; it has been wonderful. I love people and listen well. I get great feedback and always try to improve and learn from my experiences. People have great potential for recovery, and I try to help them get better.

Working with couples and individuals from a mindfulness-based perspective to promote compassion, patience, and kindness is my primary goal and the approach I take in therapy. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor in the state of Louisiana, with several years’ experience in mental health counseling. I received a Master's of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Southern University A&M College. Throughout my clinical career I have worked with adult and adolescent clients from various backgrounds with acute and chronic mental illness, as well as dual diagnosis. I approach therapy with an eclectic, flexible mix of strength based, mindful and CBT based approach.

I have experience with those who have suffered from past abuse and trauma, addictions, depression and anxiety. Often the presenting challenges for these clients has been around emotional control/stability, loss of joy/purpose, lack of a healthy support system and a tendency to relapse. My clients goals have often included helping them decrease anxiety levels by learning to self soothe when triggered, to utilize more positive communication skills, to set healthier boundaries, and to create a more structured schedule in their daily lives.

Terry Edwards Jr. is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who graduated from Ohio State University in 2008 with a MSW degree. Terry spent 2 years at Florida State University before transferring to Ohio State University and completing his Bachelor of Arts in Criminology and Psychology in 2004. Terry also received his Addictions Certificate from the University of Michigan in 2015. After graduating from Ohio State University, Terry moved back to his hometown of Detroit, MI where he was Licensed and practiced as a Social Worker.
