Currently accepting adult new clients in-person and virtually! Are you feeling stagnant or feel as though you have lost a piece of yourself? Often times life circumstances can cause us to lose motivation and hope. Which may prevent us from fulfilling our life purpose. I find that bringing the unconscious into conscious awareness can be a powerful tool for healing. When we ignore the hidden parts of self, this can often lead to depression, anxiety, low self-esteem and many other self-destructive patterns. My goal is to help clients understand the root of their concerns through changing self-defeating patterns and learning to let go.

Have you have been finding it harder to feel joy, self-acceptance, or it's becoming harder by the day to simply stay afloat? In life, we are often made to feel flawed for being human, but I want you to know that you deserve a space that is healing, supportive, and free of judgment. As a Licensed Professional Counselor, I feel honored to help others navigate painful events, emotions, and disordered eating behaviors so that they are able to live their life to its full potential and appreciate their authentic selves. Opening up about our pain can feel like a risk, but I hope in our work together, you realize you're worth this risk.

I work with kids, teenagers, and families who are going through tough times. Life can throw some real curveballs at us, and I've learned that healing works best when we look at the whole picture - not just what's happening in our heads, but how we're doing physically and spiritually too. I get it - family life is busy. That's why I try to be as flexible as possible with scheduling, and if your child's school needs to be part of the conversation, I'm happy to work with them too.

I am deeply committed to supporting individuals and families navigating the emotional toll of immigration-related challenges. Many of my clients face profound psychological stressors—ranging from trauma, separation from loved ones, fear of deportation, to cultural adjustment difficulties—that significantly impact their mental health and overall functioning. My goal is to ensure that every psychological report not only meets the evidentiary standards required by USCIS but also humanizes the client’s experience—giving voice to the pain, resilience, and hopes that often accompany the immigration process.

Big shoutout to you for taking this first step—nothing changes until something changes. I work with teens, college-age adults, and adults who are ready to break free from the emotional baggage. Whether you’re looking for individual therapy to work on self-growth or family therapy to break generational cycles, we start by making sense of your story—not just the pain, but the patterns.

Do you ever question your self-worth? Are you ever overly harsh with yourself, or others? You're constantly over thinking about how you reacted in your relationships and wondering how to make them better. These problems leave you questioning yourself such as, am I the problem? Relationships are hard! Especially the one with ourselves. This can be caused by growing up in a highly critical environment, which leads to often battling with imposter syndrome, tending to be a perfectionist, or having a strong need for validation from others.

When trauma impacts one member of a family, the ripple effects impact everyone. I believe that the best way to help children and adolescents heal is to work together with parents and caregivers to provide tools and resources for strengthening connection and encouraging positive coping.

I am a LCSW who practices through Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness, and CBT. Emotions can be uncomfortable. I am here to help you find the ability to navigate those emotions and challenge negative thoughts in a healthy way. I help patients identify the patterns they create through their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Once those patterns are identified, we can get a better understanding if we need to reframe the thought to have a more favorable outcome, understand the feelings/emotions on a deeper level, or change the behavior to have a more favorable outcome.

I work with adults and couples who are navigating the challenges that come with being human — anxiety that won’t quiet down, depression that makes everything feel heavy, relationship patterns that keep repeating, or seasons of burnout and transition that leave you feeling unsure of your next step. My goal is to create a space where you feel genuinely seen, understood, and supported as we figure things out together.

My passion for counseling was rooted in my experience with at risk youth from my childhood to my career in education. I saw the importance of being seen and heard and addressing the individual's needs to attain success versus expecting rote societal compliance. Transitioning to being a therapist from a school based educator was a direct response to understanding that we must first address our lived experience and individual needs to see how that informs our present circumstances and future goals; so that we can achieve our goals while also having autonomy regarding the pathway we choose to get there.

Is everyone in the Psychology Today Therapy Directory a licensed therapist?

The Psychology Today directory lists providers who offer legitimate mental health services to the public, including psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers, and counselors.

Many have been licensed by the country or state where they practice; providers whose license or primary credential has been verified by Psychology Today are signified by a “Verified” symbol. Some clinicians or organizations provide services for which their state or country does not offer licenses, such as pastoral counseling. They may be selectively included without the “Verified” seal.

What’s the difference between a psychologist, a therapist, and a counselor?

Therapists, psychologists, and counselors are all licensed mental health professionals. In the US, psychologists have earned a doctoral degree. The terms “therapist” and “counselor” are used somewhat interchangeably, but generally therapists offer longer-term, mental health care, while counselors offer shorter-term care that may focus on one domain, such as marriage, career, or academic challenges.

Clients should consider factors such as insurance coverage and their primary reason(s) for seeking therapy to determine the type of professional best suited to their needs. Someone struggling with mental health challenges such as depression or anxiety, for example, may wish to seek out a clinical psychologist or therapist, while someone navigating career obstacles or marital upheaval may benefit from seeing a counselor who can offer short-term, targeted support.

What type of therapy is right for me?

The type of therapy best suited to a particular individual depends on several factors, including their primary reason for seeking therapy, their preferred timeline (some therapy types last for a set number of sessions, while others are open-ended), and their personality and preferences—some may prefer a more structured approach. For many individuals, multiple types of therapy could provide a good fit.

How much does therapy cost?

The cost of therapy depends on a number of variables, including location and the therapist’s experience and training. On average, a therapy session in the United States could cost between $100 and $200 or more. If you have insurance, the expense of mental health care is typically lower, but it varies based on your insurance plan details and whether you choose an in-network or out-of-network mental healthcare provider.

What are more affordable or low cost therapy solutions?

Many therapists offer sliding scale payments, usually on a limited number of slots, which consists in an agreement between the therapist and a client to pay a reduced rate. Therapists who provide such arrangements often consider the client's income or ability to pay, but the extent of the discount is ultimately at the therapist's discretion. Furthermore, while group therapy may have different goals and benefits compared to individual therapy, it can be a more affordable solution to address certain types of issues.

Is online therapy cheaper than in-person therapy?

Many therapists charge the same amount for online therapy as they do for in-person therapy—though clients may still find this cost-effective if it cuts down on their transportation costs. Health insurance plans often offer equivalent coverage for online and in-person therapy; indeed, in many places, they are legally required to do so. Text-based or on-demand therapy apps may be cheaper than traditional one-on-one psychotherapy; however, the practice may be less effective and is not likely to be covered by insurance.

Is online therapy a good option?

Therapy conducted online can be just as effective as in-person therapy, as long as there is a strong alliance between the client and the therapist. To find a therapist who provides telehealth services to clients in your area, click “Online Therapy” on the directory homepage and search by your city or town or your zip code.

Are therapy sessions confidential?

Confidentiality is a crucial part of the therapeutic relationship. Therapists in the United States are bound by the regulations set out by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA), which aims to protect sensitive health information. With very few exceptions, a therapist will only discuss their client with others when the client has given their written permission. The instances in which a therapist would be required to disclose personal information are: if a client poses a danger to themselves or others, if the therapist suspects the abuse of a child or an elderly or otherwise dependent adult, or if they are legally forced to by court order. These exceptions to the confidentiality agreement are usually discussed with a client before their first session.
