My practice is best suited for individuals who are seeking healthier relationships with food, their bodies, and/or exercise. If there is a question as to whether you or a loved on has an eating disorder, I can complete an assessment and then help to provide recommendations on what treatment would be a best fit for you or your loved one's needs. If you have been recommended by another professional to seek treatment and need assistance navigating those choices, I can also provide consultation for the best treatment center fit and assist with the admissions process.

I enjoy working with people with varied needs, but specialize in anxiety, OCD, trauma or PTSD, and grief and transitions.
My specialities are Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder and anxiety disorders (for example, specific phobias, BFRBs, etc). OCD is often under-diagnosed and can be mistaken for other issues. I assess and treat OCD with the gold-standard therapy for it, Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), in which I am formally trained through the International OCD Foundation.

Whether you're managing OCD, social anxiety, or the kind of persistent worry that follows you everywhere, you deserve more than white-knuckling through another day.
Let's start a collaborative journey where we understand your challenges, uncover patterns of avoidance, and set goals that feel meaningful and achievable. For OCD, social anxiety, or specific phobias, I use exposure-based therapies to help you make sense of how anxiety keeps you stuck, then gradually face fears in a way that feels safe and manageable.

You might be feeling overwhelmed, stuck in your thoughts, or wondering why things that seem like they "should be manageable" feel so difficult. Whether you're navigating chronic illness, anxiety, intrusive thoughts, depression, alcohol abuse, or a major life transition, it can be exhausting trying to hold everything together on your own. I work with individuals (17+) who want to better understand their patterns and feel more in control of their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors.

How long does OCD treatment take?
Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) is often treated on a weekly or twice-weekly schedule, depending on symptom severity and the client’s preferences. Some clients may start to see a noticeable improvement in symptoms in as little as six weeks, but it’s also possible, especially in more severe cases, for treatment to take several months to a year before significant progress is made.

What happens if OCD is not treated?
Some people with OCD, especially those with mild symptoms, may find that they are able to adapt reasonably well to life with the condition, even if their symptoms never resolve completely. However, many people, particularly those whose symptoms are severe at the outset, find that their obsessions and compulsions grow more intrusive with time, making it harder to maintain relationships, hold down a job, or navigate the world successfully.

Are there medications for OCD?
Medication can be used to treat OCD. The class of drugs most often prescribed are selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors, or SSRIs, which include fluvoxamine (under the brand name Luvox), fluoxetine (Prozac), and sertraline (Zoloft), among others. In cases of treatment-resistant OCD, other classes of medication, such as tricyclic antidepressants or atypical antipsychotics, may be prescribed. Medication is frequently used in conjunction with therapy.

Can OCD come back after treatment?
Yes. Major life transitions, periods of stress, or other factors can cause symptoms to return or, if they were never fully eradicated, to ramp back up in intensity. For some, these relapses are brief and do not require additional treatment; identifying specific triggers and practicing the skills learned in therapy can help speed their course. For others, returning to therapy for a brief period can help address the underlying stress and strengthen coping mechanisms.
