You've been holding it together for a long time. On the outside, everything looks fine, but inside, you're exhausted, anxious, or hurting in ways that are hard to explain. It could be due to past trauma, relationship struggles, anxiety, depression, grief, or simply feeling lost in the current season of your life. I want to help you find peace, clarity, and genuine connection again—both with yourself and with others, as well as with your purpose. I understand that calling a therapist can be intimidating, but I encourage you to take that first step and discover how therapy can truly help.

You can expect a warm, compassionate, and nonjudgmental space where your experiences with fertility, pregnancy, and parenting are met with care and familiarity.
Trying to grow your family can put enormous pressure on your mental health, your relationship, and your sense of self. You may feel like infertility, IVF, pregnancy loss, or early parenthood has completely taken over your life and that nobody around you fully understands what you're carrying. Maybe you and your partner are coping in totally different ways. Maybe intimacy feels strained, communication feels harder, or every pregnancy announcement feels painful. Maybe after everything it took to get pregnant, you expected to finally feel relieved but instead you feel anxious, disconnected, overwhelmed, or unlike yourself.

I offer relationship therapy for close relationships in the following areas: communication issues, emotional and physical disconnect, challenging patterns, difficulty navigating different perspectives or worldviews, infidelity, divorce, parenting concerns, relational issues with family members, friends, or co-workers.
I am a clinical psychologist specializing in couples and family therapy. I work at the largest VA couples therapy clinic in the country. I focus on helping couples feel safe to be vulnerable and to understand complex relational patterns with compassion. Many couples seek help with "communication," often pointing to deeper emotional disconnect: feeling unheard, and unsafe being vulnerable. These struggles are common not because we’re broken or don't care about our partners, but because the warmth and sense of safety we once had have slowly dimmed over time, often unknowingly. This makes it harder to share and truly hear our longing.

I provide a safe and inviting space to help your child practice new ways of coping, and I help parents set up a clear structure to support positive connection.
Is your tween or teen daughter internalizing anxiety and big emotions? Does it seem like the steps you take to try to help often just make things worse? Do you wonder if there’s a better way to support your child’s emotional growth and manage family stress?

Parenting Therapists
What does therapy for parenting look like?
Therapists may work with parents individually, together, or include the whole family to find solutions for the problems a parent faces. Many parent-based therapies work on a parent’s relationship with their children, problem-solving within the family, and analysis of family dynamics. Therapy conducted remotely by video may be helpful in allowing a therapist to observe how families interact in their own homes.

When should a parent seek therapy?
When behavioral problems begin to disrupt the healthy functioning of a family, it may be a good time to look into therapy. If parents find that children are acting out in school, have started using drugs or alcohol, have developed eating disorders, or other similar red flags, a therapist may be able to help.

How long does therapy take for parenting problems?
Depending on the severity of a family’s challenges and the type of treatment utilized, therapy for parenting can last from weeks to months. Cognitive behavioral therapy is a pragmatic therapy type that can be brief, most often ranging from between 5 and 20 sessions. Structural family therapy, which inspects family dynamics, often takes several months. Parent-child interaction therapy is typically shorter-term, lasting between 10 and 20 sessions. For any therapy, the duration will depend on the progress made and results realized.

Can therapy help parents dealing with burnout or stress?
Parenting is difficult. Parents may dismiss or conceal feelings of exhaustion, overwhelm, or escape ideation—imagining withdrawing from their parental obligations altogether. but left unattended, these feelings can have negative effects on the whole family. A therapist can help parents work on the skills they might need to better cope with the burdens of parenting and help them be the best parents they can be.
