Sometimes our daily lives can leave us feeling stuck and joyless, but it is possible to get back on track emotionally, mentally and spiritually. You can be free of the issues that have brought you pain and discouragement. Your hurt, circumstances, and past do not have to define you. I understand that reaching out for help can be difficult and frightening. Opening up and sharing deeply is a step of faith, and you are worth the effort. I can help you find your way through the thoughts, behaviors, and feelings that have held you back. You can get through this, and I would be honored to walk alongside you in your journey of healing.

08/01/25 WILL be accepting new clients As a counselor and a retired cop, I have dealt with a wide range of tragedies that can drive a person to seek counseling. Life is messy, and my background will help me understand what you have been through. Trauma is an emotional injury, and like many physical injuries it can heal if you tend to it properly. Even if you haven’t suffered an extreme event, you may feel stuck and be unable to move forward. I retired from policing so that I could more directly help people put their lives back together. Having bad things happen shouldn’t keep you from being able to have a good life.

Based on my training and own life experiences, I understand how identity, culture, and early life experiences shape the ways we connect, hurt, and heal. Life might feel overwhelming: anxious thoughts, recurring patterns in your relationships, the lingering echoes of things that happened long ago. Maybe you’ve tried to carry on, but inside there’s a sense that things aren’t aligning.
I work primarily with women who are dealing with anxiety, depression and childhood trauma. I believe the path toward healing is possible, and you deserve to walk it in a space that is safe, non‐judgmental, and culturally aware.

Are you a parent who is feeling overwhelmed and unsure of how to help your teen? Is your teen battling with anxiety, depression, social problems, self-esteem, or abusing substances? The adolescent years are full of many new and exciting changes and transitions. Unfortunately, there are also times these transitions bring forth new challenges and barriers. As changes occur in the adolescent brain, it is not uncommon for your teen to experience some level of challenges socially, emotionally, and educationally, but there are some teens who may need additional guidance and education on how to navigate these areas.

You’ve been carrying so much for so long — the worry, the pressure, the discomfort of feeling “off” but not knowing how to fix it. Maybe you’re exhausted from overthinking, stretched thin from taking care of everyone else, or stuck in patterns you’re ready to break. You want your life to feel lighter. You want your relationships to feel easier. And you want to feel more like yourself again.
This is where our work together begins.

Life feels overwhelming right now. Maybe you’re worried all the time, pulled in too many directions, or feeling alone even around the people you love. You just want things to feel easier—less stress, less fighting, less pressure to hold it all together. Deep down you long for connection, peace of mind, and relationships that feel safe and loving. You want to be able to breathe again, to laugh, and to feel more like yourself. You’re tired of trying to figure it out on your own and you’re ready for real support and change.

It takes a lot of courage to decide to look for help. It shouldn’t have to feel even riskier finding a therapist who you are comfortable with. I want you to feel like we are a good fit because therapy is like a long hike; sometimes there are steep inclines, sometimes there are beautiful views, but you definitely don’t want to hike with someone you’re not meshing with. Because this is so important, I offer a free initial 30 minute consultation, where you can come, meet me and get an idea of how I would approach working with you to find a way through what you are struggling with.

As a counselor, I want to help you and your family to learn and grow. With everything going on, it may feel like you are just surviving, when you deserve to THRIVE! I believe in working with the ‘big picture’, considering the mental, emotional, physical, social, and spiritual domains that affect a person’s health and wellness. Each client is unique, and as such, the treatment plan will be tailored to suit your specific strengths and needs.
