I have been successful in the past with all manner of clients through many different settings – male, female, transgender, heterosexual, LGBTQ+, in inpatient, outpatient, technician, assessment, or even consulting settings. I also really enjoy working with teens and adolescents, since early brain-based interventions help everyone succeed even more in their lifetime. I find that my personality and style seem to fit best with clients who feel they are trapped in a negative routine, have no one with which to talk, or no way out of the situation from which they suffer.

Does it feel like you and your significant other are worlds apart? Do you remember a time when you both felt so in love, and you wonder how you ever wound up where you are today? Does the idea of getting back to that place seem so daunting you wonder if it's even possible? I've worked with countless couples who have answered "yes" to each of these questions and are now living the relationships and marriages they always wanted. This is a possibility for you too, if you're both willing to do the work to get there.

Whether you're untangling the knots of anxiety, diving into relationship dynamics, or simply exploring new ways to feel more at ease, she is here to walk this path with you.
Hi, I'm Anna. Most people who find their way to my office think they need more discipline. Better tools. A way to stop the overthinking and get it together already. And sometimes that's part of it. But more often, what's actually going on is something older and quieter. A part of them that never quite got taken care of, still running the show. I work with adults navigating low self-worth, relationship patterns that keep repeating no matter how hard they try, and emotions that can feel like way too much.

You’re successful and driven, but who supports you when the pressure feels too heavy? I work with high-achieving, career-focused adults -as well as preteens and teens- who are navigating chronic stress, mental health challenges, work-life balance, and emotional growth. I believe that everyone deserves access to mental health support, regardless of their accomplishments. Chronic stress, burnout, imposter syndrome, emotional imbalance, trauma, and mental illness are common experiences that affect us all. The pressure to maintain a façade of perfection often makes it hard to admit that you experience struggles just like everyone else.

Couples Counseling: Something has shifted in your relationship — and you can feel it. Maybe the two of you have drifted apart, or conversations keep turning into arguments no matter how hard you try. Perhaps trust has been broken and you're not sure if the relationship can survive it. Whatever brought you here, the fact that you're looking means some part of you still believes things can be different. For the past 25+ years, I've seen partners find their way back to each other from some very painful places. What makes that possible is understanding where problems are really coming from and finding solutions that honor both of you.

I come from a narrative, trauma-informed perspective. This means that I am willing to explore your story and life experience with compassion and courage. Trust and safety are very important in the therapy relationship and I strive to create a safe environment. I am trained in distress tolerance skills and mindfulness, as well as addictions therapy and betrayal trauma/trust recovery therapy. Your story is unique to you - and while it does not define you, it often provides helpful clues to where you are now in life and in relationships. I will invite you to that same courage as you are ready, which may take time.

If you are experiencing difficulties in your life and ready to start exploring how to create a different path, therapy is a great place to start. I have experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds and life experiences. Trauma, big and small, can play a large role in how we view our world and how we react and interact in our daily lives. There are a lot of tools that can be helpful in creating a life that feels different and more manageable. EMDR therapy is one of the tools I use most often in my work and have found it helpful in addressing a variety of primary concerns.

OCD, anxiety, intrusive thoughts, rumination, or constant overthinking keep you stuck and exhausted.
My approach is structured, evidence-based, and depth-oriented. I use Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) and Inference-Based CBT (I-CBT) to treat OCD, while integrating attachment-based and IFS-informed therapy and mindfulness. Sessions are active and collaborative, with clear plans, practical tools, and support that’s compassionate—not passive.

I work with individuals navigating anxiety, panic attacks, trauma and PTSD, ADHD, disordered eating, perfectionism, and the impact of abuse or sexual assault.
I use EMDR, CBT and person-centered therapy. In addition to these approaches, I utilize evidence-based somatic techniques such as mindfulness to reconnect us to our thoughts, feelings, and surroundings during times of anxiety and panic. My goal is to make therapy so much more than "just talking".

Our stories matter. Relationships reveal a lot about how we carry and tell our story. Life experiences create chapters of great joy, deep sorrow and everything in between. Trauma, disappointment, loss, life transitions, family of origin -these are just some of the things which can make us an open book, or a closely guarded manuscript. As a student of you, I come alongside and hold gentle, caring emotional space for you to untangle your story, gain insight and find freedom, peace and hope. My own invaluable journey in therapy enables me to reassure you that living in emotional freedom is possible.

When should I seek treatment for anxiety?
Everyone feels anxious at times, but when anxiety causes disruption to your daily life, it may be time to seek help. Such disruption can be mental, physical, or both: having fear dominate your thoughts, avoiding situations or objects that bring on feelings of anxiety, or experiencing shortness of breath, sweating, dizziness, or panic attacks. When these symptoms are recurrent and distressing, it may be time to talk to someone.

What are the most common types of treatment for anxiety?
Talk therapy, particularly cognitive behavioral therapy, is the most common treatment for anxiety. Studies have shown it is equally effective as medication. Other popular forms of therapy are popular, depending on a patient’s experience. Exposure therapy, for instance, can be useful for people dealing with fears and phobias, or who have experienced traumatic events. Dialectical Behavioral Therapy may be useful for patients who need help with emotion regulation. Anxiolytic medications, like benzodiazepines, can also help with calming a person enough to focus on the skills they’ve learned, and physical exercise has been shown to help symptoms of anxiety across the board.

How long does therapy for anxiety take to work?
The amount of time needed to alleviate symptoms depends on the severity of a person’s condition. Some therapies may take 5-20 weekly sessions to show results. Anti-depressant medications typically take two to four weeks before a benefit is felt. Anti-anxiety medications are felt typically within 20-30 minutes. Medications are best used to offer a patient a better headspace in which to work on techniques learned in therapy. Exercise, improved sleep habits, and meditation are effective, but takes weeks or months to show results.

How effective is treatment for anxiety?
Treatment for anxiety has been shown to be moderately to highly effective, according to a large body of psychology studies and analyses. For some people, treatment using CBT or exposure therapy alone is effective. Others respond best to a combination of medication and therapy.
