Children are my passion. I have built my practice around providing a safe and inviting space for children to young adults where they can openly explore their unique challenges. Issues such as depression, anxiety, grief, bullying or trauma are experienced differently in children due to their various developmental stages and life experiences. Understanding these stages are important as we collaborate to tackle the tough stuff together. Discovering inner strengths and improving self-compassion are just a couple ways to begin that healing.

In my experience with families of different backgrounds, parents and I collaborate to understand their children’s behaviors in order to transform their anger, manage their anxiety, improve their communication while strengthening their bond.
Hi! As a parent we are facing different challenges everyday in which we struggle and feel pressured to constantly have it together. I’m a mother of two and understand your struggles of not feeling enough, especially during a time when we are required to be parents, teachers, doctors, nurses etc. all at once. So if you take anything from landing on my page I want to tell you that: You are enough! As a clinician I have helped children and families who had experienced challenges and adversities in their lives.

I often joke that I took my first college psychology class as a DIY project because I was trying to better understand my own struggles. I know how difficult it can feel when anxiety, depression, self-doubt, or past experiences start getting in the way of fully enjoying life. The good news is that things can get better, and therapy can be a powerful tool for creating real change. I primarily work with older teens, college students, and adults who feel stuck and want practical tools to move forward. Many of my clients struggle with anxiety, ADHD, addiction, overthinking, low motivation, trauma, life transitions, or depression.

I provide therapy in a supportive, authentic and normalizing environment. I work to help others feel empowered as they work toward their goals and recognize how much they are able to shape their own lives when provided with effective tools and insight. I believe that the appropriate use of humor is extremely helpful and I strongly believe that it is not my place to judge you or to impose my values on you during the therapeutic process. I view counseling as a team effort where the counselor and client work together.

I work primarily with individual men struggling with stress, anger, depression, anxiety, fatherhood, or masculinity.
Something isn't working. Maybe the conflict, or lack of connection, in your relationship is leaving you hurt and hopeless. Or you've taken the hard step of ending a relationship, but now don't know how to avoid making the same mistakes with your next one. Perhaps, like many, the last few years have left you stressed and burnt out at work, and you're looking for a new sense of purpose or meaning. Maybe, on paper, everything looks good, yet you still aren't happy. It's easy to get overwhelmed and discouraged; to not know what to do.

You love your family, but lately, the people who matter most are getting the version of you you never meant to become. Couples and parents often arrive here caught in the same arguments, the same shutdowns, the same guilt after another hard night. Beneath those moments are old loyalties, childhood wounds, and patterns that once protected you but now shape your home. Together, we slow the cycle, make sense of what drives it, and help you choose a steadier way to love, lead, repair, and build the family story you want your children to inherit. Your past can shape you, not rule your home.

Anger Management Therapists
How long does therapy take for anger management?
Treatment duration depends on the person’s specific challenges and circumstances. There are treatments for anger problems that are shorter and more goal-oriented, like Cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), which can last weeks to months. Others, like Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) may last between six months and a year, while a more intensive treatment, like psychodynamic therapy, is open-ended, and clients may see their therapist for a year or longer.

How do you know if you need therapy for anger management?
Everyone gets mad from time to time. But when angry outbursts become frequent and cause damage to relationships, whether at home or in the office, it may be a good time to look into therapy. A therapist can assess where a client’s anger may be coming from, suggest strategies for averting angry outbursts, and help a client create a plan to become a calmer version of themselves.

Is there medication for anger management?
Medications do exist that help people mitigate the feeling of anger, but these are reserved for people with anger-related psychiatric disorders, such as intermittent explosive disorder, oppositional defiant disorder, or in some cases borderline personality disorder. In these cases, antidepressant medications may be prescribed to help with the client’s symptoms. In most cases of anger management, however, talk therapy is the recommended treatment, along with lifestyle changes where relevant.

What’s the best way to encourage someone to seek help for anger issues?
It’s helpful to express your concern and love for the person while framing therapy as a tool for improving their life. Offering specific examples of how an individual’s behavior affected either themselves or others should be done with compassion and with empathy. It may be useful to devise a game plan—breaking the process down into parts, such as finding a therapist, making appointments, and looking into insurance coverage.
