Do you want to reclaim, or perhaps discover, who you are and what brings you pleasure in life? Whether you are seeking help with depression, anxiety, relationship concerns, a lack of direction, or other difficulties, I provide support and challenge when needed to assist you in creating a more enjoyable and meaningful life. An important part of our work together involves exploring what obstacles, both internal and external, are preventing you from moving forward. I use targeted questions to help you identify patterns, make connections, uncover unproductive ways of thinking, and highlight your areas of strength.

You’re a deep thinker with self-awareness in spades. You have plenty of insight, but you struggle taking actionable steps forward when things feel uncertain, overwhelming, or hopeless (i.e. a lot of the time). You may feel stuck in patterns of overthinking or can't seem to stop reacting to what feels urgent in the moment rather than what truly matters long-term. Alongside that yearning for change is the creeping suspicion that there’s something wrong with you and that attempts to move forward will only confirm the fear that you’re incapable or broken.
If that's you, I'm glad you're here!

Life can be overwhelming. We all carry wounds from our past into the present, and healing them alone can be difficult. Maybe you feel stuck—in patterns or coping strategies that once helped you but now leave you anxious, disconnected, or unsure of how to move forward.
I help clients explore these patterns with curiosity and compassion. Together, we’ll uncover the threads connecting your past to your present, loosen your grip on stories that are no longer serving you, and create space for healing and growth.

Wanting to be someone else is a waste of the person you are. So who do you ultimately want to be? What is going on in your life to cause stress or strife? What can we change or take out to improve things? Are you communicating effectively with your adolescent or loved ones? Life can throw many different obstacles that cause stress, anxiety, depression, and a breakdown of relationships. One of the hardest relationships for parents or caregivers can be the one with their teenager. As a marriage and family therapist I take a look at your entire life and not just the person itself to facilitate change.

When we experience trauma, we are often left feeling alone, misunderstood, invisible, and unsafe, even within ourselves. Through the process of therapy, we can regain hope, connection, safety, and understanding of ourselves and others. I use wide-range of evidenced-based modalities, from psychodynamic and CBT to EMDR and somatic therapies to decrease the emotional reactivity, tension, and isolation that trauma can create. Regardless of our trauma histories, our modern world can contribute to feelings of disconnection, dissatisfaction, and uncertainty about our worth and our purpose.

Trauma comes in numerous forms, many of which remain just below the surface, unconsciously directing our lives, impacting our relationships, and stunting our unique pursuit of happiness. Thankfully, mental health services are no longer strictly designated for those amongst us experiencing the most overt forms of dysfunction. From those in need of initial trauma recovery and basic life stabilization to those looking to maximize their potential and optimize their lifestyle, my ideal client simply seeks to shed the bindings of the past in pursuit of a more authentic and fulfilling life.

You've never quite fit into the roles you were handed. Maybe you've been the black sheep, the one who questions everything...the one who senses there's more to life than performing a version of yourself that never felt entirely true.
And yet-here you are. Aware that something isn't working anymore. Aware that beneath the anxiety and self-doubt, there is something deeper asking to be lived.
Many of my clients struggle with questions like:
Who am I, really?
Can I trust myself?
What do I want, outside of who I've been told to be?
These questions often live at the intersection of identity.

Struggling through life with a chronic or silent illness feels anything but silent. It's more like having an angry body that's screaming and out of control at the worst possible moments. Illnesses like Lyme disease, chronic fatigue, Fibromyalgia, Epstein-Barr, or autoimmune disorders don't always come with support walks and wrist bands. And loved ones or the medical community don't always understand or know how to help. I know you're just about done with getting shuffled in and out of doctor's appointments, but hopefully you'll give me a chance.

You feel disconnected from yourself, from others, from God- it's beginning to feel like too much. You look like you have it all together. You’re responsible and successful. Others rely on you. But inside, you're depleted, constantly trying to hide your imperfections- the lies you believe about yourself. Reaching out for help feels hard- the part of you who thinks you shouldn't even have these problems is in conflict with the part of you that desperately wants to heal and feel better. You worry that if people really knew your struggles, they’d see you differently. You are incredibly hard on yourself and you have guilt about that too.
