'Ring the bells that still can ring; forget your perfect offering; there is a crack in everything; it's how the light gets in.' (Leonard Cohen) When clients come in with cracks in their lives, I am committed to pointing towards the light. I love my job.
Although I am educated and experienced in classical psychotherapeutic theory and practice, I have a spiritual foundation to my work. I encourage my clients to connect to an inner, Loving Wisdom -- and I am committed to doing the same. It is through that connection that we both are healed.

I help women navigate through life transitions and address
women's issues
, feelings of depression, anxiety, and overwhelm.
The pressure of being a woman in today’s society can be challenging, even for the most successful. The idea that we have to “do it all” in order to “have it all” can be overwhelming. Each stage of a woman's life can present a different set of challenges. Are you struggling as you are entering into adulthood or find retirement to be a challenge? Somewhere in-between? Do you feel guilty because you chose a career over a family, or a family over a career? Maybe you chose both but feel you are not living up to your or everyone else's expectations? Do you feel like part of your life is missing but you are not sure how to find it?

Areas of Specialization:
Women's Issues
, Couples Coaching, Parenting Concerns, Menopause & Sex, Low Libido, Faith & Sex, Releasing Shame & Guilt, Lack of Orgasm, Body Image, Sex & Cancer, Sex Education talks > The Birds & Bees, Getting You Period, Your First Time, etc.
I am a intimacy coach and sex educator. I inspire women to be their real selves in the bedroom, to stop performing and instead, take the time to discover what “great sex” really is for them. Because in this male-dominated culture almost everything we have been taught about sex for generations has originated from a male point-of-view and it’s time to level the playing field. If not for ourselves, for our daughters and generations to come. Go to www.linktr.ee/vivalibida for links to all the things!

With 20+ years of therapy & life coaching experience, I specialize in
Women's Issues
, Survivors of Narcissist Abuse, & Trauma Resolution.
Are you struggling with effects of Narcissist Abuse? The emotional and psychological damage from abusive personalities causes Anxiety, Depression, & other Stress Related Illnesses. They are often also substance abusers, inflicting even more damage. Whether a current or past partner, parent, sibling, friend, or boss, their years of chaotic torment inflicts lingering trauma responses such as fight, flight, fawning or freezing, & other unhealthy habits, even when the Narc is no longer in your life. Recovery requires therapeutic healing of self-esteem & practicing emotional, physical, spiritual, sexual, & financial boundaries.

How do you encourage a woman to go to therapy?
It’s helpful to express concern and love for the person while framing therapy as a tool for improving their life. Offering specific examples of how an individual may be suffering, and what effects it has on them, should be done with compassion and with empathy. It may be useful to devise a game plan—breaking the process down into parts, such as finding a therapist, making appointments, and looking into insurance coverage.
How can women prepare for therapy?
Women can prepare for therapy by being willing to talk about their past experiences and their private thoughts. Before a session, an individual may want to reflect on how they’ve felt since the last session and what’s happened in their lives. Between sessions, it can be useful to write down notes about their reaction to a given event or how they felt at a particular time.
How long does therapy for women’s issues often last?
As with any type of therapy, sessions depend on the individual and the challenges they face. Therapy types like Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), Prolonged exposure therapy (PET), and Eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) can be brief, most often ranging from between 5 and 20 sessions. In some cases, such as for women with eating disorders, residential treatment may be recommended for an individual who is judged to be at high risk of self-harm. For any therapy, the duration will depend on the progress made and results realized.
How can women overcome stigma around specific challenges in order to seek therapy?
Women dealing with domestic abuse, sexual assault, eating disorders, and any other number of troubles may feel a stigma around seeking help. It’s important to remember that these issues are not uncommon and there is no shame in getting help for them. Therapy is confidential, and women can talk about their experiences without fear of judgment. Seeking therapy can be a courageous and liberating act, and an important step toward healing and recovery.
