My focus is on meeting the client from a holistic and integrative approach to therapy. There are many avenues to find motivation to achieve optimal health, as well as maintaining gains through recovery efforts. I find great passion in assisting the client to find their true sense of self (authentic self) through self-actualization, which includes self-image, self-esteem, and the ideal self. There's also a desire for positivity and purpose, healthy balanced thoughts, grounding and breathing through mindfulness, replacement of negative behaviors for positive, identifying strengths/solutions, and rewriting the story of their lives.

I’m Craig, and I’m glad you’re here. Anxiety. Overwhelm. Life transitions. Finances. Relationship challenges. Grief. Substance use. Life is speeding locomotive, often chaotic, and never easy, and I applaud you for considering therapy. It takes courage to do so.

If you're just skimming profiles, you’ll miss this one. But if something in you is paying attention—you're going to feel it. I’m not here to simply manage symptoms or to sell you coping strategies. I help you lead your life again, from inspiration and from clarity. As a licensed counselor in Texas, I provide therapy for when your inner world or outer life has become too heavy to carry alone. For folks beyond Texas, I offer depth coaching—a non-clinical approach grounded in the same clarity and integrity as therapy, but focused on helping you step into what’s next with presence and purpose.

I believe that you are the expert on your own experience. This is your journey through the dark forest. I am here to walk alongside and carry the lantern. Together, we will get curious about what is true for you and practice leaning into that truth with courage and self-trust. I will support you as you explore, uncover new meaning, confront old fears, and cultivate new channels of strength. I am a trained therapist with expertise and tools to share, but my goal here is to support you in learning to trust yourself. You are unique, so the space of support we build will be unique.

There are times in everyone's life when we feel stuck, unsure, or worried about what we need to do to get our life moving forward in a positive direction. These are the moments when a therapist can support, encourage, or even carefully confront you to take the next steps on your life journey. I work with clients to create an emotionally safe environment in which to explore your options and help you draw upon your inner resources to regain balance, energy, and focus.

You may be dealing with intrusive thoughts, compulsive patterns, ADHD symptoms that don't fully make sense, intense sound sensitivity, or anxiety and perfectionism that keep pulling you off course. You may also be struggling with executive functions, procrastination, and frequently feeling overwhelmed, which makes it challenging to live according to your goals and values. Sometimes the hardest part is not just the symptoms themselves — it is not having a clear explanation for what is actually going on, especially if previous therapy or past evaluations have not given you real answers or meaningful progress.

Everyone is unique with the issues and struggles they carry with them. Therefore their needs and goals are also unique. Just the very step of seeking a therapist however, means that you are already on the road to improvement.

Sometimes our lives take an unexpected turn-a loved one dies, we lose our job, our marriage ends, our parents' health declines-and suddenly we aren't sure where we're going, or what to do next. You don't have to face these things alone. In my counseling career, I have helped many people get through the hard things that come with difficult life events: sadness, anger, guilt, family conflict, uncontrollable worry, or just feeling stuck.

FAQ - Therapist Gender
As a man, why might I want to see a male therapist?
There are many reasons a man might wish to work with a male therapist, including a degree of shared identity, which may help client and therapist connect to each other and allow for a more free-flowing discussion of issues that can be deeply personal. Some men may feel more comfortable talking to a male therapist about relationship concerns, the pressures they feel around the roles society and family place on men, career or job challenges, self-esteem, or anger problems. For some men who have not had a male role models in their lives, a good male therapist may be especially helpful.

How can I find out about a therapist’s experience treating men?
Individuals looking for treatment should feel comfortable directly asking a therapist about their history treating men overall and the issues that arise in therapy with men. A good therapist will be happy to discuss such matters as well as their educational background, approach to treatment, and how they think they can aid a prospective client.

Can clients benefit from having a therapist of the same gender?
Therapy is not gender-specific, but some men as well as women feel more comfortable opening up about their experiences and history with therapists of a specific gender. An individual may feel that they have to explain less background information and be on the same page more quickly, particularly when discussing gender-specific challenges. That said, a good clinician can transcend most if not all gender concerns. Ultimately, the most important factor in therapy is the connection and trust the client is able to build with the practitioner.

Would a male therapist have specific training in treating men?
Generally, no. There are no certifications for treating men specifically, but there are continuing education classes that therapists may take that focus on treating men as a group. There are many therapists who focus on men and male issues in their treatment and therefore have experience and expertise in this domain.
