Are you yet to find a therapist you feel comfortable with and can relate to? Has previous therapy “only scratched the surface” of the real reasons you are seeking help? You’re not alone. My clients often need a deep sense of connection in order to feel safe in their most vulnerable moments. Most of my clients are looking for a highly-trained psychologist who is not afraid to show her humanity nor bear witness to theirs. I aim to make you feel seen, understood, and safe as you work through difficult emotions and/or painful past experiences.

Does it feel like life’s treadmill keeps speeding up no matter how hard you run?
The demands to perform at the highest level pile up while you try to maintain relationships, stay healthy, and nurture your creativity.
Perhaps you think, ‘If I can just get through this next deal, fundraise, or milestone, THEN I’ll finally catch my breath.’ Somehow, that relief never comes.
It doesn’t have to be this way. Imagine sleeping easy, waking up energized, and leading with clarity and focus while feeling at ease in your professional, personal, and creative life.

Managing life's battles can be overwhelming and inherently all-consuming. I am direct, solution focused and client centered when it comes to working with people who are seeking treatment related to substance use/addiction disorders, family/relational conflict, spiritual questioning centered around trauma, grief or purposeful living, life transitions, case management, marriage and couples counseling as well as working with teens, emerging and aging adults. Our sessions can range from helping manage fear that may cause immobility or clouding our brightest path to addressing coping skills to better navigate relapse, improving communication or building insight to behavior and purpose.

We all just want to feel comfortable in our own skin. We want to live our lives feeling inspired, happy, and purposeful. Somewhere along the way we may have sought out external things to achieve this goal: drugs, alcohol, relationships, jobs, social circles, money, status, etc. These things work for a little while…until they don’t. We finally get to a place where we realize we need help turning inward. We become willing to examine our trauma and core wounds and heal from what is in the way of us emerging into our fullest selves. This is where transformation begins.

Discovering the Wisdom Within: Cultivating consciousness and tuning into presence-- I integrate spirituality into psychotherapy. These two pathways to healing are intimately connected, both offering important and necessary tools for deep healing and awakening. Psychotherapy employs tested processes to understand personality traits, events that create disturbance in our lives, and patterns of thinking, feeling, and behaving. Spirituality offers us the ability to encourage loving kindness with all that we are. It teaches us to nurture and develop the inner observer, present moment awareness, non-judgment, and heart-centered thinking. Cultivating intimacy with all that we are--light and dark, high and low, superficial and deep.

I have blended several approaches, from developmental and attachment theory to neuroscience and Jungian psychology.
Men's lives are complex today. The identities we grew up with seem out of date and unaccepted. Are you cut off from your feelings and estranged from the fullness of life? Are you anxious or depressed? Do you only feel comfortable in your world of work? Is the external thing or accomplishment you’re chasing no longer giving you meaning or purpose? Or are you having problems in relationships with those you care about? Perhaps you find life dry and difficult but cannot put your finger on why. I understand these harsh realizations and can help you overcome them. Helping men make positive change is the collaborative goal of my practice.

Your past is invading your present. Your emotions overwhelm you at times. Many of your relationships are unfulfilling - or outright painful. Your self-esteem is low to non-existent, and you often feel you aren’t good enough. Celebrating your successes is hard for you because you feel like you don’t deserve them. Your inner critic is your constant companion. And the worst part is: overcoming these obstacles seems like a huge mountain to climb. You don’t know where or who to go to for help. We all need connection more than ever right now. I’d love to help!

Our early years have a big impact on how we operate as adults. Our ways of being and personal struggles can often be traced back to our family of origin. How you were parented, the role you played in your family, the defenses you learned to get by or survive – these stay with you and inform how you operate in the world and in your relationships. Whatever your own history may have been, there's a place for what you learned and how you adapted; after all, it’s gotten you this far. But some of those early lessons have outlasted their usefulness and no longer serve you, leading to anxiety, depression, or chronic disconnection.

This is not just talk therapy. You are finally feeling ready to address the deeper patterns that create pain, tension, and discontent in your life and/or relationships. You have tried other things before, and it has not worked, or the change has not lasted. You continue to experience internal conflict to find the motivation and clarity to move towards the life you imagine. Is it really achievable? Is continuing to try even worth it? In spite of the questions, there is a small voice that tells you that life and connection can be more than this. You're ready to find and free your true self from the stories that keep you stuck.

My practice is grounded in Jungian and relational psychotherapy, which explores the different ways painful cycles repeat throughout a person’s life and relationships - Either from parts inside us or the people in our life.
Sometimes life robs us of our light. It can happen gradually or suddenly. We might not even know why the light is gone, only that it’s not there anymore.
My goal is to enable you to search for and take hold of that light. I work primarily with depression and anxiety as well as spirituality, processing trauma, and family dynamics.
I focus on young adults transitioning into new life stages, and adults of all ages who feel stuck in life and unable to access their meaning. Trauma in life can prevent us from finding meaning, keeping us from relating to ourselves or others fully.

I help people free themselves from the wrath of a harsh inner critic, get unstuck from unhealthy situations, and start living instead of just surviving. If you are living with anxiety, depression, unproductive anger, the impact of trauma, or relationship struggles--including parenting neurodiverse or gender-questioning children, I welcome you. I provide a safe, compassionate, emotionally attuned space so you can feel supported as we explore what brings you into therapy. Whatever your struggle, I believe it is possible to navigate pain, gain strength, and experience greater fulfillment through the therapeutic relationship we create.

Jungian Therapists
How does Jungian therapy work?
Jungian therapy, also called analytical psychology, focuses on a patient’s inner experiences and unconscious mind. Exploring a person’s unconscious mind can be achieved through several means, including the analysis of memories and dreams, and through physical exercises, such as art, dance, and word association.
How long does Jungian therapy last?
Jungian therapy is an intensive treatment type. Because its goal is to understand a person as a whole, including the unconscious aspects of them, treatment can range from months to years. Since patients learn the theory behind Jungian therapy during treatment, they can also practice its tenets throughout life after therapy sessions have completed.
Is Jungian therapy effective?
According to studies, many patients find success with Jungian therapy, and the century-old treatment has a devoted following. Researchers note that the therapy is particularly useful in improving relationships, self-esteem, anxiety, and depression. Improvements in problem areas seem to continue even after the end of Jungian therapy, as people are able to continue working on themselves using the tools they’ve learned during the treatment.
Is Jungian therapy evidence-based?
Jungian therapy is theory-based, derived from the theories of Carl Jung, a Swiss psychiatrist often called one of the fathers of psychology, along with Sigmund Freud. Jung developed his theories from observing the problems of patients, and developed many theories of how the mind works. Subsequent psychological research has determined that Jungian therapy can lead to significant improvement in most patients.
