You’re the one everyone relies on—steady, capable, and always holding it together. But inside, you’re exhausted. The stress never really shuts off, and even rest feels like another task. You second-guess yourself, avoid conflict, and pour energy into others while neglecting your own needs. Relationships feel uneven, and no matter how much you achieve, peace still feels out of reach. You want relief from the constant pressure—to feel calm, grounded, and finally at home in your own life. You’re ready to stop living in survival mode and start feeling like yourself again. You just need a space where it’s safe to exhale.

I integrate evidence-based practices (Cognitive-Behavioral, Acceptance and Commitment, Family-Systems, Interpersonal, Psychodynamic, EMDR, child-parent & Infant-Parent therapies) with a person-centered, culturally humble and trauma-informed lens.
When we are suffering, often the greatest antidote is someone to share our suffering with. Research in psychotherapy effectiveness shows that the therapeutic relationship is one of the most important factors predicting helpfulness of therapy. I see my role as providing a supportive therapeutic space to foster growth, healing, and healthy relationships. It takes great courage to face our human vulnerabilities and for each person the journey is unique. Regardless of your reason for entering therapy, our work will be informed by who you are, what you value, and where you want your life to go.

I am EMDR trained and specially trained in domestic violence and grief/loss.
A client once said that on the day of everyone's birth, they should be assigned a therapist for life. At some time in your life wouldn't it be nice to have someone validate you, completely accept you without judgment and be there when you feel you can't go on? Perhaps you'd begin to see your strengths, learn how to think positively and understand that you can move forward no matter your situation.

Depression & anxiety, grief & loss, painful relationships, feeling overwhelmed & stressed out, or general uncertainty about how to move forward in our lives to get what we want or need… These are often the experiences that drive us to seek therapy and rightly so. We are wanting to understand what is causing our unhappiness so that we can make the needed changes. The question then is: What needs to change and how do you make those changes? I find that what tends to keep us stuck, confused and unhappy are elements of our past experience that we are not fully aware of and not fully connected to. The answer is in our unconscious!

Are you the person others go to for support? Are you unsure of who you are outside of others? Do you feel uncomfortable asking for help? I work with clients who have had to push their needs aside (loved ones of those struggling with mental illness or substance use issues, people in the helping professions, caretakers, etc.) often manifesting in anxiety, depression, perfectionism, people-pleasing, and low self-esteem. Together we will work to identify your values, needs, and desires and chip away at unhelpful narratives stemming from early life to make space to re-write ones that align with your values and your most authentic self.

I use a combination of talk therapy and EMDR in treating clients.
I am certified in EMDR. I have found that EMDR is very effective and transformative in the treatment of complex PTSD, depression, anxiety, panic attacks and depression. EMDR gives clients the opportunity to address distorted beliefs such as "I'm not good enough" or "I'm not safe" and replace those beliefs with "I"m good enough" or "It's over, I'm safe now".

Maybe you’ve been carrying more than anyone sees - managing others’ feelings, overthinking every interaction, trying to look steady even when you’re exhausted underneath it all.

Fortunately, through attachment work, EMDR & other modalities, we can heal emotional wounds and move you toward recovery and wholeness.
Prior to being a therapist, I wrote for TV and film. I know all about rejection and loneliness, and how easily they can promote addictive behaviors. What better way to numb “worthlessness” than to visit massage parlors or spend hours watching porn genres you didn’t even know existed? Get help. Being a tortured artist isn't as glamorous as you think.

It is my goal to assist the client in determining what is keeping them from getting to the place that they want to be. Whether it be dealing with depression, relational issues, or personal addictions that are holding them back. It is my desire to explore with the client not only hindrances but also the tools the client already has to use. I also provide relational counseling for marriages or other significant relationships which you are desiring to improve and move forward in.

I’m an integrative therapist, using CBT, EMDR, somatic therapy, attachment-focused work, and sound therapy to help you build resilience, strengthen connections, and move toward clarity, confidence, and hope.
The holiday season can bring old emotions and overwhelm to the surface, highlighting feelings of being stuck or unsure where to turn. Finding the right therapist can feel daunting, but you are not alone. Anxiety, ADHD, or the lingering effects of challenging childhood experiences can trap you in unhelpful patterns; overthinking, shutting down, or feeling disconnected from yourself and others. These patterns are shaped not just by the past, but by the ways we learned to cope and feel safe. Therapy can help gently untangle these patterns, ease anxiety, improve focus, and support you in feeling more confident, connected, and empowered.

EMDR Therapists
Who is EMDR for?
EMDR was initially developed as a treatment for individuals with Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), for whom memories of a deeply distressing experience can be inadvertently triggered by random everyday events. The procedure has since been applied in the treatment of many other conditions. For example, it is used by some therapists to treat anxiety disorders including panic and phobias, depression, dissociative disorders, eating disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorders, and some personality disorders. It is suitable for adolescents and adults.
Why do people need EMDR?
People need EMDR as a way to manage distressing memories that in some way hamper the ability to function in the present. The procedure is believed to target the way memories are stored in the brain. Evidence indicates that past disturbing experiences cause ongoing distress because they were not adequately processed, and when such memories are triggered in the present, they are accompanied by all the emotions, thoughts, and physical sensations as the initial experience.
What problems does EMDR treat?
First and foremost, EMDR is intended as a treatment for PTSD, to defuse distressing memories that intrude on and impair everyday functioning. It is also often used to help those who are subject to panic attacks, phobias, and other forms of anxiety. In addition, EMDR has been used to treat individuals with depression, eating disorders, and personality disorders.
What happens in EMDR therapy?
First the therapist takes an individual’s history, and then the therapist and client decide which distressing experience(s) will be the target(s) of the exercise, delivered via a side-to-side visual stimulus requiring lateral eye movements. The client will be asked to activate thoughts, feelings, and any body sensations related to the troubling experience. The eye movements are said to reduce the emotional charge of the memory, so that the experience can then be safely discussed with the therapist and digested, minimizing its ability to trigger anxiety.
