Hello and Welcome! It has been a dream of mine to become a therapist since I was about 11 years old. Sexual health discussions have never made me uncomfortable in any way, and I like to provide a safe space for clients to discuss these issues. Many people experience shame about their relationship preferences, kinks, and sexual orientation. I like to help individuals and couples who may be struggling in this area. I also enjoy working with clients who are gender diverse, are thinking about or currently transitioning, and so forth.

You're a thoughtful, curious person navigating life as a gifted, autistic, AuDHD, or twice-exceptional teen or adult.
I provide neurodivergent-affirming therapy for teens and adults. As an autistic person. I have worked to become the therapist I needed when I was younger. We'll use safe experiments (collaborative explorations where we test new approaches without pressure) to navigate stuck patterns, deepen self-awareness, and build from your actual strengths.

I support children, adolescents, and adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, autism, emotional regulation challenges, and life transitions.
My goal is to provide a calm, supportive space where people of all ages can feel safe, understood, and cared for. I work with children, adolescents, and adults, helping them slow down and better understand what's happening beneath the surface. Together, we can make things clearer, more manageable, and less overwhelming.

As a neurodivergent therapist, I enjoy working with others who are often viewed as different.
My clients are neurodivergent, or wonder if they might be. This realization often leaves folks with more questions than answers. What many simply call "unmasking" is a complex process of both learning, healing, and adjusting our approach to life. As someone who has been through this myself, it is an honor to guide others through the process of self discovery

Given my own identities and experiences I am especially passionate about working with children, teens and young adults (ages 4-25) with the following identities: Neurodivergent, LGBTQIA2S+, and/or Impacted by adoption.
As it is their first language, with children I typically offer play therapy moving more into expressive arts and talk therapy as clients age. With younger clients, to ensure the most effectiveness and support, I always involve caregivers as often as appropriate.

Special areas of focus: -Trauma, C-PTSD, Dissociation -Neurodivergence and curiosity around adult Autism/ADHD -Sober curiosity -LGBTQIA+ issues -Sex positivity & shame recovery -Religious and high-control group trauma recovery Curious if I’m the right therapist for you?
I align with a non-pathologizing approach to therapy. This means that I view “symptoms” as traits or behaviors that our minds and bodies have adopted to protect us from further harm. During traumatic experiences, often parts of ourself dissociate the mind from the body as a form of protection. While this helps us to survive in the moment, dissociation can happen long after the trauma has ended, keeping us out of the present moment, activating feelings from the past.

I have a special focus on late-diagnosed autistic women and highly sensitive people, as well as survivors of trauma.
Because I’m neurodivergent myself, I bring both lived experience and professional training to our work. I understand what it’s like to navigate a world that often doesn’t feel built for you. I offer a space where your thoughts, feelings, and experiences are met with curiosity and care, helping you feel seen and known.

Autism Therapists
What is the most effective treatment for autism?
Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) has come to be considered the standard treatment for children with autism spectrum disorder, and research has confirmed its effectiveness for many children. Therapists trained in ABA techniques work with children (and their parents) on developing social skills, communication and learning abilities, and everyday habits of hygiene and grooming. The clinician will tailor their program to the child’s particular need but the overarching goal will be to help them advance as far as possible toward independence based on their level of symptoms and decrease the need for additional special services. Families should seek a mental health professional specifically trained in ABA, and holding special certification in the technique, who has extensive experience not only with the approach but in using it with children with the same level of symptoms as the child who needs care.

How does ABA work?
Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) sessions, which typically focus on positive reinforcement, can be intensive, lasting two or more hours several times a week, and continuing for two years or more. Therapists can also be expected to ask parents to take an active role in reinforcing lessons. Research has found that the technique can lead to major improvements that decrease the need for additional special services.

How does treatment for autism work?
Therapy sessions based on Applied Behavior Analysis will likely be frequent, intensive, and highly structured. After a thorough assessment, a therapist will help a child understand and develop skills in a range of areas, including communication, motor skills, social skills, self-care, play, and academic skills, as well as routines of daily living like hygiene. Typically, the therapist will help a child break down the components of a behavior—often referred to as the antecedent (what prompts an action), the behavior, and the consequence(what immediately follows)—and then reward the child at every step, while also asking parents to reinforce the lessons, and the rewards, throughout the day. This core therapy may be supplemented by occupational or speech therapy, and antidepressants, antipsychotics, and anticonvulsants may be prescribed to address specific severe symptoms.

How long does therapy for autism take?
Some people with autism spectrum disorder may be engaged in some level of therapy for many years, but research shows that treatment will be most effective if it is begun early and delivered intensively. When therapy begins by age 3, children tend to be better able to grasp and adopt the skills needed to manage everyday life, including attending school and establishing social relationships. This type of early-intervention treatment regimen is highly structured, typically involving 20 to 40 hours of one-on-one therapy per week, along with additional hours of engagement managed by parents, for a period of two years or more, although the duration of treatment is dependent on the child’s level of symptoms and pace of progress.
