Hi there. First, I'd like to wish you well, especially as you work with a psychotherapist. In the 13+ years that I've been practicing, I've learned that each person and each relationship is unique, so I've developed a variety of ways to approach psychotherapy and relationship therapy that help individuals to heal and help couples to relate. By working with thoughts and feelings, with mind and with heart, people can move through what is in the way, blocking them from feeling better and being better. I'm absolutely honored to help with that movement.

I imagine you’re here feeling scared, overwhelmed or confused by your inner world. Maybe you are catching yourself acting in ways that are uncharacteristic. Or after looking at your pain from every angle, you’re starting to lose hope about finding a path out. You want a way back to your center. You want to feel good about your choices in the present and hopeful about the future. Therapy with me is an opportunity for that kind of clarity and healing.

Are you asking what is my purpose? Harmed by your religion?- now you miss the feeling of connection with something bigger, maybe even simply your own spirit. -not who you became in order to please others. I offer day long nature intensive retreats. This gives you an opportunity to dive in deeper in a shorter amount of time with the assistance of Nature. Let's uncover any trauma that has been holding you back and gotten in the way of your freedom. I believe in connecting authentically, with an open heart, and assisting you in accessing your own intuition and inner guidance system.

I am PSYPACT certified and AEDP Level 2 certified.
I work with individuals who seek to truly understand themselves and what drives their behaviors. Exploring one’s inner world with curiosity and compassion makes up an important first step to healing. When an individual’s inner and outer selves are aligned and unacknowledged pain is surfaced, one is freed up to heal and live more fully and honestly. You may have a sense that bits and pieces of yourself have been suppressed or dismissed along the way. My approach to therapy will help you retrieve and re-integrate these important parts of yourself so that you can feel whole and fulfilled.

We can’t get around suffering sometimes in this life, but we can learn to live with dignity and grace, and we can absolutely know joy. Whether you are having questions of a spiritual nature, feeling stuck in your life, or needing to be free of abiding pain, I stand ready to walk with you on the path of healing. I can say this with confidence because I have made this journey myself. My own experience with therapy helped me to understand that human beings are not machines that break and need to be fixed. They are beings that course correct; they mold and are molded by their environment.

Hi, and welcome to my page! I believe everyone deserves to be happy and comfortable in mind, body, and relationships. I bring this core belief to my work with both couples and individuals every day.
I love helping people get in true conversation with themselves and those they love. This first involves noticing our own nervous systems, so that we become familiar with which emotions, thoughts, and sensations track together. Once we have achieved this, we can start using Mindfulness and self-compassion techniques to learn to watch our own minds and accept ourselves and others. The goal is a life with far less pain and suffering.

I integrate EMDR and AEDP-informed therapy to help you gently reconnect with your emotions and move toward healing at a pace that feels safe and supportive.
You may look like you’re doing “okay” on the outside, yet inside feel anxious, overwhelmed, or disconnected. Many of the clients I work with are adult children of immigrants or first-generation individuals who have spent much of their lives caring for others, meeting expectations, and putting their own needs aside.
You might be carrying trauma, long-term stress, people-pleasing patterns, or relationship struggles that feel hard to shift. Even without a single defining event, living in survival mode for too long can leave you feeling tired, stuck, or unsure of yourself.

Working experientially, I integrate IFS, IPNB, Coherence, and AEDP approaches to meaningfully and deeply investigate your inner world.
We all long to feel connected, known, and loved. And when we don’t, it can create tremendous suffering. In response to our pain, we adapt and learn ways to cope- ultimately seeking to make intolerable feelings tolerable. But our coping strategies disconnect us from who we truly are and come at a high cost. I offer a therapeutic lifeline that empowers you to claim your inherent worth and inner knowing. I deeply respect and want to nurture the wisdom you hold inside yourself. You may worry that you are too flawed, but together we can rediscover your worthiness and the inherent beauty within you.

Who is AEDP therapy for?
Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP) is for adults who have experienced emotional pain in the past that, because it has not been adequately addressed and processed, interferes with current functioning. The problems might manifest in a number of different ways, from excessive anger to relationship difficulties to PTSD to eating disorders, poor self-esteem, and depression. They may also be accompanied by physiological symptoms. AEDP helps people accept and digest challenging emotional experiences.
Why do people need AEDP?
People need AEDP as a way to manage distressing emotions—including anger, shame, and guilt—that in some way hamper the ability to function and form satisfying relationships in the present. The therapist-client relationship is believed to provide corrective emotional and relational experiences that facilitate positive changes in brain function, forge pathways for processing traumatic experiences, and allow resolution of emotional pain.
What happens in AEDP therapy?
Once individuals have established a strong bond with the AEDP therapist and the therapist has established a safe and secure environment, clients are encouraged to explore their most painful emotional experiences. They may be asked to pay attention to disquieting body sensations as well as to psychological discomfort. Individuals learn how to process emotions, rather than avoid them. Through the strength of the therapist-client bond, each session is intended to provide a powerful positive experience for individuals, enabling growth.
What problems does AEDP treat?
AEDP is intended to treat the unprocessed emotional pain caused by earlier distressing experiences, which commonly includes behavioral avoidance of current situations and experiences for fear that they will reactivate painful feelings. Emotional pain and avoidant behavior play a role in a wide array of mental health conditions, which is why AEDP is applied to the treatment of a range of disorders including depression, anxiety, PTSD, relationship difficulties, and eating disorders.
