I often use evidenced-based practices such as EMDR, ACT, DBT, CBT, Solution-Focused approaches, and more in my practice.
Welcome! I'm glad you're here. If you're reading this, you've realized something needs to change. Maybe you're exhausted from holding everything together, stuck in old patterns, or past experiences still have a tighter grip on you than you want to admit. Whatever you're facing, you don’t have to navigate it alone. I work with individuals and couples dealing with stress, trauma histories, relationship challenges, life transitions, anger, neurodivergence, and more. My style is warm, direct when needed, and conversational. You deserve a therapist who shows up authentically, with empathy, curiosity, and always welcoming of humor.

I specialize in sex and love addiction (CSAT-Candidate), with a focus on the impact of family enmeshment and relational dynamics on attachment, identity and behavior. I support people in rebuilding connection to self, including rediscovering passions and values that can become obscured in addiction. My work integrates a somatic perspective informed by my background as a massage therapist trained at the Institute of Psycho Structural Balancing in Los Angeles, as well as expressive arts approaches rooted in my performing arts background.

I believe mental health is one of the most universal and human experiences we share. Everyone deserves the opportunity to feel grounded, confident, and at peace. My passion for this work comes from seeing how transformative therapy can be when people are given the space and support to understand themselves. With over five years of experience in the treatment field, including three years as a Clinical Director, I specialize in substance use, acute mental health, and life transitions. I work with adults navigating stress, uncertainty, and major turning points, helping them gain insight and move towards a life worth living.

Every life transition pushes us to change. Nobody asks if we’re ready. It’s non negotiable. Tragedy? That happens to “them”. “We don’t know those ppl, we don’t even know people that know those people -the victims & their families.”. Then one day it comes for our loved ones; for us.

CBT: Challenges unhelpful thoughts.
Many of the people I work with are tired of just getting through the day. They may look successful on the outside, but internally feel stuck in anxiety, trauma, self doubt, relationship patterns, overthinking, or disconnection from themselves. Often, they've already done a lot of self reflection. The challenge isn't understanding their patterns, it's creating meaningful change. Therapy can be a space to move beyond insight and build a stronger connection with yourself, healthier relationships, and greater confidence in how you move through life.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT) Therapists
How does cognitive behavioral therapy work?
Cognitive behavioral therapy works by exploring how your thoughts affect your emotions and experiences. CBT helps you identify distortions in your thinking. For example, you may tend to jump to the worst case scenario catastrophizing or think in extremes (all-or-nothing thinking). A therapist can teach you how to push back against those thoughts to ultimately change your feelings and behavior for the better. They can also provide coping skills to better deal with stressors and challenges.

When do I know to seek treatment with cognitive behavioral therapy?
It’s reasonable to consider cognitive behavioral therapy if you struggle to manage difficult emotions or behaviors to such an extent that you are not getting the most out of life on a day-to-day basis. If you want a shorter term, concrete, skills-based approach, CBT is a great option. (By contrast, other types of therapy may devote more time to exploring your past and its effects.) The decision to seek CBT also depends on the condition you’re treating; CBT is an effective treatment for anxiety, depression, trauma, and many other disorders.

How can I find a cognitive behavioral therapist for someone else?
To find a cognitive behavioral therapist for someone else, you may want to begin by discussing the person’s problem, researching cognitive behavioral therapy, and assessing whether the approach is the right fit. You could then reach out to a few cognitive behavioral therapists in this directory, explain the scenario, have a consultation with those available, and determine who could be a good match.

Why is CBT such a popular form of therapy?
CBT has become a popular form of therapy because it is effective and accessible. Robust research has demonstrated that CBT is an effective treatment for many mental health conditions. And CBT can be learned in relatively few sessions, which means that many people can engage in the process, afford it, and see results quickly. It involves learning concrete skills such as disputing unhelpful thoughts; these skills can also be taught and spread widely.
