I work with women facing postpartum anxiety, postpartum depression, and other maternal mental health challenges.
Becoming a mother is supposed to feel joyful. So why does it feel like you’re constantly on edge? Instead of soaking in the sweetness, your mind feels loud and relentless. You replay pediatric appointments, question every decision, and feel guilty for snapping when you’re overwhelmed. Intrusive thoughts about your baby’s safety scare you. The anxiety doesn’t shut off, even when your baby sleeps. Some days you feel rage. Other days you feel numb. Beneath it all is the fear: “I’m not cut out for this” or “I’m losing who I used to be.” You want to feel like yourself again...steady, confident, and present with your child.

It takes a lot of effort to grow and heal. It is exponentially harder if you're doing it alone. My hope is that together, we can create a space that feels safe and inviting to dig into who are you and who you want to be. I believe humans contain multitudes and our path to healing lies in the acceptance of all of the parts of ourselves. My hope is to help you get to know and accept those parts of yourself by providing empathy, acceptance and some humor along the way. I am trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and ETT (Emotional Transformation Therapy using light and color) to aid in that journey.

My ideal clients are couples who look fine on paper and exhausted in private, and individuals carrying weight no one around them can see. You're engaged but postponing the harder conversations. You're married and the silence is saying more than the words. Or you're walking through it alone — grieving, transitioning, leading from empty. Most people don't come to me because love ran out. They come because honesty did. I'm not here to shame that — I'm here to interrupt it. We move forward by telling the truth out loud, clinically and structurally. No performing. Just the real life you actually want to come home to.

You look like you're handling it all. That's the problem!
The people I work with are often the ones everyone else depends on. They're the athletes expected to perform, the parents carrying the mental load, the couples trying to reconnect, the teenagers struggling to fit in, and the adults who keep showing up for everyone while quietly falling apart inside.
Whether you're battling anxiety, depression, relationship stress, parenting challenges, life transitions, or performance anxiety that's affecting your confidence on the field, court, stage, or in everyday life, therapy can help you get unstuck.

Life has a way of shifting the ground under your feet — a divorce, a relationship changing, burnout that won’t go away, or a season where you find yourself asking, “What now?” You may be the one everyone depends on — pouring into your family, your work, your responsibilities — while quietly feeling like you’re running on empty. The anxiety won’t fully settle, the connection in your relationships feels different, and somewhere along the way, you’ve lost pieces of yourself. I work with women, teens, and couples who are navigating these exact moments — the in-between spaces where life no longer feels the same

Pregnancy, Prenatal, Postpartum Therapists
What are the most effective ways to address pregnancy, prenatal, and postpartum concerns?
The most effective way to address pregnancy, prenatal, and postpartum concerns is by finding a therapist who has prior experience helping other patients overcome the challenge being faced. For example, a marriage and family therapist may have experience helping couples adjust to their new relationship dynamic. An anxiety specialist may have experience helping with phobias or illness anxiety related to the child’s health. A depression specialist may have experience treating postpartum depression.
When should I seek treatment for prenatal or postpartum concerns?
Pregnancy and the postpartum period involve intense physical and mental changes; a degree of upset and instability is normal. However, if these changes impair daily functioning, it may be time to seek help. This distinction is pertinent for postpartum depression: A period of teariness, irritability, and distress is difficult but normal in the one to two weeks after childbirth (sometimes called the “baby blues.”) But if feelings of sadness and hopelessness persist beyond that period, the person should seek treatment.
How do I manage worries during pregnancy or the postnatal period?
A therapist can help patients develop the tools they need to manage anxieties during or after pregnancy. Cognitive behavioral therapy can help people identify and reframe harmful patterns of thought, and change their behaviors. Other techniques and skills can allow people to develop acceptance, psychological flexibility, self-compassion, communication skills, and more.
Are there specific medications for postpartum depression?
In 2019, the FDA approved the first medication designed to treat postpartum depression. The medication is called brexanolone and is delivered intravenously by a medical professional over the course of a few days. However, typical antidepressants, which are more accessible, can also treat postpartum depression. The disorder is often best treated through a combination of medication and therapy.
