I work with couples/individuals stuck in unhealthy communication patterns, negative thought patterns, and feeling disconnected by helping them to develop secure attachments and safety in their relationships, using EFT and CBT. I use Narrative Therapy and SFBT for those who want brief or long-term therapy. Individuals with underlying traumas that are impacting their relationships, helping them to process and adjust, using CBT, EMDR, and WET. I also help clients learn balance with the belief that clients must be willing to identify or trace back where things got off track and then be open to change.

Are you carrying pain that others can’t see. You may feel alone, stuck in cycles of anxiety, shame, or relationship struggles that keep repeating. Often these patterns begin in environments where emotional needs weren’t fully seen or supported, leaving you in survival mode, overthinking, shutting down, or doubting yourself. Therapy can be a space to understand these patterns with compassion rather than judgment. I help adults explore the roots of these experiences and reconnect with their sense of self so they can move toward greater clarity, balance, and authenticity. I am here to help you through this in a safe space.

You go to bed at night and wake up the next morning still feeling ashamed, stuck, and afraid of not being able to reach your utmost potential. You’re harder on yourself than with others who have similiar struggles. By changing your thought process and self talk, you are then able to take action. As your therapist, we will collaborate on becoming your own best friend by creating a path in finding balance between holding yourself accountable for your own actions and beating yourself up to the point of being immobilized and isolated. My passion is walking beside you and learning ways to embrace yourself in feeling positive change.

I have years of experience helping people with Substance Use, Suicidal thoughts, Severe Depression, and Trauma!
You might find yourself thinking, "I’m tired of feeling tired." It’s not just from lack of sleep or being overworked. It’s deeper, more complex. It's a kind of tired that makes you question your existence, your desires, your dreams. It goes beyond hopelessness. People don't seem to get it. What if someone did get it? What if you didn’t have to explain it? What if you didn't have to feel it alone? Would the world open up for you? Would it help you find the strength to face the tiredness? If this sounds familiar, I can help. Therapy can be a place to feel seen, understood, and supported.

The majority of my career has been with individuals with complex trauma histories and/or in crisis, and these remain the issues I work with the most. However, my understanding of these challenges, and their potential aftermath, changed just over 6 years ago. At that time, I experienced my own trauma and crisis in a way that shook me to my core - trauma while delivering my daughter. Then, 4 years later, pregnancy loss. When it comes to trauma recovery, this is what I now know in a very personal way - your support system is everything. You can survive things you thought might kill you. And you can be happy again.

Maybe you've just experienced one of the hardest moments of your life. Or perhaps you find yourself saying, "others have it worse, my problems aren't as bad," yet you continue to find yourself suffering in silence. Maybe you've built your life around the premise that others needs/desires/feelings are more important than your own and you've muted yourself in order to show up for everyone else. Perhaps today you'll consider putting yourself first. Now is the time to take the necessary steps to face the parts of yourself you've stored away for too long. It's time to walk into a new season of your life that focuses on you.

I specialize in working with teens and adolescents and have experience supporting individuals with anxiety, low self-esteem, trauma, suicidal ideation, and relationship concerns.
Life can feel overwhelming at times, and it’s okay to need support. You don’t have to carry everything on your own. I believe healing can happen when you have a safe space to be heard, understood, and supported—while also drawing on the strength, purpose, and faith that guide your life. Therapy is not a quick fix—it is a collaborative and intentional process of growth, self-discovery, and change. Together, we will explore the challenges you’re facing, identify unhelpful thought patterns and beliefs, and work toward building healthier coping strategies.

Suicidal Ideation Therapists
How does therapy for suicidal ideation work?
Stress, depression, anxiety, or upsetting circumstances can give rise to suicidal thinking. Therapy can address the events at the core of an individual’s suffering. Understanding why a person may be suicidal can help the therapist and the patient discover alternative methods of coping. A person with suicidal ideation may be mired in catastrophic thinking, and treatment like cognitive behavioral therapy is a good choice for breaking such patterns. In addition, treatment such as acceptance and commitment therapy can help a person manage their distress through better emotion regulation.

Which therapies are best for suicidal ideation?
Specific approaches used by professionals include cognitive behavioral, dialectical behavior, psychodynamic, acceptance and commitment therapies, among others. Cognitive behavioral and dialectical behavior therapies are two widely used therapies that can help individuals with painful thoughts and past traumas. These therapies help an individual tolerate distress, regulate emotions, and not act on dangerous urges.

Are there specific medications to be combined with therapy?
The use of medication for suicidal thoughts must be aligned with the underlying cause; conditions such as depression, anxiety, and psychosis may be at the root of suicidal ideation. A psychiatrist may prescribe medications for symptoms, which may include antipsychotics such as aripiprazole or antidepressants such as selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors.

How often and how long are therapy sessions for suicidal ideation?
As with any type of therapy, sessions depend on the individual. Patients may see improvement within 15 to 20 sessions, at an average of 50 minutes per session, while others may opt for 20 to 30 sessions over, perhaps, a six-month period. Still other patients, especially those with co-occurring conditions like major depression and anxiety, may need to continue sessions for up to 12 to 18 months. In some cases, residential treatment may be recommended for an individual who is judged to be at high risk of self-harm.
