I bring a person-centered approach blended with ACT and DBT to support anxiety, depression, trauma, and LGBTQIA concerns.
Are you carrying pain that others can’t see. You may feel alone, stuck in cycles of anxiety, shame, or relationship struggles that keep repeating. Often these patterns begin in environments where emotional needs weren’t fully seen or supported, leaving you in survival mode, overthinking, shutting down, or doubting yourself. Therapy can be a space to understand these patterns with compassion rather than judgment. I help adults explore the roots of these experiences and reconnect with their sense of self so they can move toward greater clarity, balance, and authenticity. I am here to help you through this in a safe space.

I tailor therapy to each individual, drawing from evidence-based approaches such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy ( ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Comprehensive Behavioral Intervention for Tics (CBIT), with a strong foundation in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).
Rather than trying to eliminate thoughts and emotions, we will focus on developing a more flexible, empowered relationship with them. Through this process, you’ll build practical skills to navigate intense emotions, respond to challenges with confidence, and take committed action toward a fulfilling life.

Are you a worrier? Stressed? Overwhelmed? Need to get out of an unhealthy relationship? Dealing with ADHD symptoms? Depression? Past trauma? I would love to help you. These are the issues I enjoy working with, as I have been through all of these myself, and can relate to how you feel. I can help you identify your goals, work with you to meet them, and educate you on how to do this on your own going forward. I believe in therapy and that people can change; and I encourage my clients to take what they have learned in therapy and continue to grow and find themselves.

Choosing a therapist is a deeply personal decision, and I believe healing begins in a space where you feel the emotional safety necessary to be vulnerable. I work primarily with adult individuals, couples, and families. My areas of clinical special interest include trauma/PTSD, life transitions, anxiety, depression, and relationship issues. My work is grounded in a trauma and attachment-focused perspective, and my clinical work is informed by Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Attachment-Based Family Therapy, and Family Systems Theory.

I work with capable, thoughtful adults who are managing a lot on the outside but feeling overwhelmed on the inside. They often struggle with overthinking, emotional overload, or feeling stuck in patterns they cannot shift. Many are balancing responsibilities, relationships, and expectations while quietly carrying too much on their own. Clients come to me when they want clarity. They may be tired of surface-level conversations or unsure why things are not improving. I help them slow things down, identify patterns, and understand what is actually driving their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors so they can move forward with intention.

I integrate ACT, CBT, CPT, DBT, and mindfulness approaches to provide a tailored therapeutic experience.
Adjusting to life after a brain injury or coping with a complex medical diagnosis can feel overwhelming and isolating. You may struggle with uncertainty, frustration, or even depression as you navigate these changes. These experiences often bring a mix of grief for what has changed and anxiety about what lies ahead. It’s common to feel disconnected from your former self, caught in patterns of negative thinking, or unsure how to move forward. Together, we can create a safe, supportive space to explore these challenges, helping you rediscover resilience, build coping skills, and reclaim a sense of purpose and fulfillment in your life.

I am a compassionate and dedicated therapist who works with children, adolescents, and adults to help find balance, and create meaningful change. We get overwhelmed with life and need that person we can go to for insight on how to get "unstuck" and work through our situations. I believe in creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where my clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to work toward their goals.

Hi, I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with Rula, an Air Force veteran, and your go-to therapist if you’re looking for someone real, grounded, and maybe a little corny—but always here to help. I bring a down-to-earth approach to therapy, creating a space where you can drop the mask and just be human. Whether it’s anxiety, trauma, life transitions, or relationship stuff—we’ll tackle it together, one honest conversation at a time. Therapy with me isn’t about perfection—it’s about progress, healing, and yes, the occasional bad joke if it helps you smile. I'm easy to connect with, and I make sure you feel seen.

I implement Acceptance and Commitment Therapy ( ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), mindfulness practices, and holistic care approaches.
I'm proud of you for taking the first step in your mental health journey! If you've been in therapy before, I'm glad you're still looking for the right therapist to fit your needs. As a mental health clinician, I'm passionate about destigmatizing the role mental health services play in our lives, especially for Black communities and people of color. I advocate for individuals and families to seek the best treatment based on their needs. In addition, I believe that as humans, it's necessary to heal from generational trauma so the next generation and ourselves can live the best life possible.

Have you looked in the mirror and asked yourself, "How did I get here?" “Who can I trust?” “How did my life change so quickly that I can't even recognize myself anymore?" "Am I Crazy?" "I Want to be Happy?" Problems are just the tip of the iceberg. Real problems start and end with the mirror image we see daily. Often the mirror image is silent but dying to speak and live life again. Issues in life begin with the inability to be heard, believed in, and understood. I think the best way to find you again, is to find your voice. Our office will temporarily be accepting online clients beginning March 1, 2025. New Location TBA.

Let me help you with parental capacity levels, and reducing dysregulation with your kiddo through LENS and therapy. Maybe you’ve tried therapy, parenting strategies, or coping tools, but something still feels stuck. When the brain and nervous system are in chronic survival mode, insight and willpower alone often aren’t enough. This is where LENS neurofeedback can be helpful. LENS (Low Energy Neurofeedback System) is a gentle, non-invasive approach that works directly with the brain to support regulation. LENS helps the nervous system shift out of fight-or-flight patterns so it can regulate and be flexible.

Sessions with me are client-centered and I integrate various evidenced based modalities of therapy, such as CBT, ACT, DBT and Motivational Interviewing based on your needs and goals.
You are navigating the wild world of adulting, and let's be real, it's A LOT. Maybe you thought you had it all figured out in high school, but now you're staring down college, or a new job, or just trying to discover who you are, and it feels like everyone can see that you have no clue what you are doing. You're bombarded with classes, or trying to pay rent, maintain relationships, and still keep up with what life throws at you. Maybe you're feeling totally isolated, just going through the motions of what you imagine a “real grown up” should be. You're feeling directionless, but the pressure to have it all together is everywhere.

Acceptance and Commitment (ACT) Therapists
How does acceptance and commitment therapy work?
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy encourages a person to listen to their self-talk. A person’s inner dialog can be indicative of how they treat themselves. ACT also encourages self-compassion; this can lead to a better understanding of negative thought patterns and emotional states. This understanding can then lead the individual to needed behavior change.

What are the goals of acceptance and commitment therapy?
The goal of acceptance and commitment is to expand a person’s psychological flexibility, a trait that encourages an individual to live in the present moment and to accept all their thoughts, feelings, and emotions, even ones that are difficult such as sadness and anxiety. In ACT, this acceptance is congruent with the individual’s values and beliefs.

Does acceptance and commitment therapy work for depression?
Acceptance and commitment therapy is effective for depression because it allows the individual to view their discomfort and suffering differently. Depressive feelings about relationship heartaches, for example, are a part of life. A despondent person learns to let go of their struggles and instead view their painful thoughts and feelings with compassion. This will lead the individual toward positive change.

How long are people typically in acceptance and commitment therapy?
A typical acceptance and commitment therapy session is 50 minutes long with one session per week. Treatment for common problems such as anxiety, depression, or relationship difficulties can last between eight weeks to four months. However, more severe cases may require more than one session a week and/or a longer time frame for treatment.
