Are you navigating the complexities of multiple identities? Caught between cultures, expectations, and who you're becoming? Maybe you're the child of immigrants feeling pulled between honoring your family and honoring yourself, or you're exploring your gender identity or sexuality while managing what others expect. You might be creative, introspective, and ready for change, but overwhelmed by anxiety, overthinking, or the weight of roles you never asked to carry. You want a therapist who understands the nuances of your lived experience—someone who won't make you explain what it's like to exist in spaces that weren't built for you.

Do you feel that your body has become numb or frozen for no reason? Do you become reactive to situations that don't require that type of reaction? Maybe you know what the reason is, but you don't know how to process it. I work with adults and children who have experienced shutdown and freeze due to recent or past trauma and help their body safely navigate back to regulated. My approach goes beyond traditional "talk therapy" in that I believe in targeting the root of disturbances that have become frozen in your body through the use of Brainspotting and other somatic approaches when working with you.

In practice I use a pragmatic, results-oriented approach and am not tethered to one behavioral health modality. Rather, recognizing each patient has unique needs, I draw from many therapeutic approaches that best fit each patient. In my practice, I can quickly assess which techniques will work best to meet each client's individual needs to show patients that they can have the right tools to reach their optimal comfort level in their careers, families, and relationships. The goal is bridging the gap and finding the most productive pathway between where clients are and where they want to be.

Parenting is supposed to be meaningful, but lately, it just feels overwhelming.
As a parent, you find yourself wanting to work more because that's where you feel most confident. At home, you feel like you are constantly failing, forgetting tasks, and missing deadlines. You think you should be enjoying your time with your kids more, but all you want is to be alone. Sometimes you are reactive and irritable with your kids. You think you should be enjoying this time more, but instead, you feel irritable, exhausted, and craving space. You miss the person you used to be, but feel guilty for thinking that way.

You have tried everything to feel fulfilled—in your family, career, and relationships. Yet beneath it all, there’s still an emptiness you can’t ignore.
On the outside, you may look like you have it all together, but inside, you feel lost.
You might be overwhelmed, exhausted from carrying the weight of everyone else’s expectations, including your own. Maybe you feel unheard, misunderstood, and increasingly resentful in your relationship. You may be struggling with anxiety or depression, and longing for more than just coping—you want to feel alive again.
Change is possible if you’re willing to do the work to make it happen.

From the outside, your life looks put together. Careers are steady, responsibilities handled, and everything seems “fine.” But at home, conversations feel tense, disagreements repeat, and one person often feels unheard while the other feels criticized or shut down. Whether it’s between partners or within your family, the emotional distance grows — even though everyone is trying and genuinely cares. Many high-functioning couples and families I work with experience this hidden stress daily, feeling like connection is slipping despite their best efforts.

With 23 years of experience in many many different counseling settings, I have curated my craft as a therapist. While I have had experience dealing with acute psychiatric disorders and substance abuse, my favorite population to work with is individuals seeking personal growth emotionally and spiritually. I have studied theology most of my adult life alongside psychology, and I’ve learned to integrate the two in ways that are more fruitful than either one alone.

I really love my job. Whether it's individual therapy for a kiddo or adult or collaborative parent consultation, I will meet you where you need me. I will create a safe, empathetic environment for you to explore what makes sense for you. I’ll ask questions or reflect thoughts you may not have considered… and I’ll use a touch of humor to help it feel easier.
One of my strengths is leveraging my gently direct approach within CBT and other evidence based short term interventions (such as SPACE or ERP) leading to effective, shorter term therapeutic treatment.

Does parent-child interaction therapy (PCIT) work?
PCIT is an evidence-based treatment that has been shown to be effective across domains, including for children with behavioral problems, those on the autism spectrum, and those who have experienced early childhood trauma. Further, studies have found that the skills developed through PCIT benefit not only the child in therapy but also siblings, as the parent internalizes lessons learned in sessions and is able to incorporate them into interactions with other family members.
How long does PCIT last?
The duration of treatment depends on the specific challenges clients face. Sessions are typically 60 to 90 minutes long, and treatment lasts, on average, between 12 and 20 sessions. Factors that influence treatment duration include how regularly a client attends treatment, how much progress is achieved between sessions, the particular skills that need development, and the extent to which the parent and therapist see improvement.
Can PCIT be done online?
PCIT is among the therapy types best suited for video sessions. Therapists are able to communicate with parents with essentially the same ease, and by observing the parent and child at home in their normal environment, the therapist may gain additional insight into their interactions, as the child will have their normal toys and may feel more comfortable and act more naturally than they would in a therapist’s room.
Does PCIT help parents?
In addition to the skills parents develop through the treatment, PCIT has also been shown to reduce frustration, stress, and depression in parents and promote confidence and a sense of calm when dealing with their children. The desired outcomes of PCIT include a reduction in defiant and aggressive behavior by children and an improvement in communicating their feelings productively, complying with parental instruction, and behaving according to parents’ rules. Growth in these areas can be a relief for parents.
