Worry, fear, lack of focus, distrust, emptiness, relationship discord- there's many reasons to find a counselor who can provide a safe, warm environment. If you're reading this you have the courage to seek help. You also had the courage to survive through what is bringing you to seek help. Now you get to heal. I have knowledge base in working with trauma survivors and those who struggle with self harm. I am passionate about the counseling process and seeing the work clients do to heal. I hope to have the pleasure of working with you/ and your family.
I combine cognitive behavioral, person-centered, and EMDR therapy. If EMDR is chosen- you get to be more in the driver seat! Counselors are there to be your lighthouse in the midst of darkness guiding you to safety and wellness. We're there as supporters, encouragers and motivators to help you get where you want to be. This defines me as a counselor.
My approach is unique because I am a survivor of sexual trauma and have the experience of being on the other side of counseling. Counseling can be someone that will walk with you throughout your healing. I'm able to provide these services in office as well as teletherapy. Please be aware if I am full our office has several other wonderful counselors.
