My name is Jonathan Closner, and I have been providing therapeutic and clinical counseling services to clients for over 15 years. I am a licensed clinical mental health therapist practicing in Florida(LMHC), Illinois(LCPC), and Texas(LPC). I hold a dual masters in mental health counseling and marriage and family therapy. As a therapist, I utilize clinical interventions and techniques tailored to the unique issues of each client. I have extensive training and experience in evidence-based treatments, including cognitive behavior therapy (CBT) and sex therapy.
I am also trained in sex therapy and incorporate sex positive approaches with clients. In my experience, I have found that integrating clinical modalities is often most effective and appreciated by clients. Overall, I approach my work with clients from a strength-based perspective.
I believe that clients possess the strengths and resources within their lives to be successful in overcoming the challenges and problems that they face. These challenges come in the form of mental health problems, relationship issues, or other stressors that arise out of life circumstance.
