Adolescent Specialist with a two-fold practice - A therapy side focusing on self-esteem and self-identity, depression, anxiety and eating disorders, including ARFID - and a second coaching side consisting of a goal focused series for teens transitioning to college and into high school. For 20 years I have specialized in helping kids, teens and families communicate well, make their way through life and be their best selves. My office space and demeanor is warm and welcoming and my passion for helping clients take control of their emotions, develop insight and self-awareness shines through.
With 10 + years experience at Children's Colorado and 5 in private practice, my theoretical orientations include CBT, ACT, with a focus on motivation enhancement and support. For eating disorders work, I employ a Maudsley-like approach and work closely with a dietician in my office suite.
Family work is crucial anytime we are problem solving with kids and teens. I focus on parent empowerment and helping kids and parents slow down and understand one another.
