Clients often come to me because they are feeling unhappy, stuck, or lonely. They may be experiencing difficulties in their relationships with others or work performance. Often, they have been feeling especially moody, irritable, or anxious and have low motivation and energy. I also specialize in working with those who are experiencing chronic pain/illness or disability which is a chronically underserved population.

I've been practicing as a psychotherapist for over 30 years. I have been clinical director of mental health facilities and on the faculty of Tufts University School of Medicine. I welcome clients 14 years of age and older -- individuals and couples, and offer you a warm personal approach focusing on your specific needs. I don't believe in a "one size fits all" model of practice or that therapy should be "a way of life." Therapy begins with a careful assessment and plan. If what we are doing isn't working for you, we change it.

I offer trauma focused treatment to individuals, groups and couples. I provide services to those suffering from substance abuse and grief and loss issues. I come with an empathic ear and a gracious appreciation for issues stemming from past events. I assist in uncovering core issues and work to reduce and manage symptoms that have interrupted a healthy life balance. Hannah Schacht, LCSW has a BA in Psychology from Binghamton University, and obtained her Masters in Social Work from Stony Brook University. She began her clinical work at an outpatient clinic with JBFCS in the Bronx in 2016, where she was able to work with adults and teens with anxiety, depression, and bipolar Disorder. Since 2019, she has been working with The Supportive Care to provide therapy to residents at nursing homes and assisted living facilities.

Gary Stewart is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker ( LCSW) who has worked for both the State of CT and for profit/non-profit agencies for over 30 years.
