I have been a therapist and educator ranging in age from toddlers to older adults. I supervise master's level counseling interns, provide licensure supervisions, training and workshops. I've also taught Multicultural Counseling Skills, Women and Mental Health, and Asian American History at Naropa University and the University of Colorado.
Being raised in a Buddhist household by a shamanic mother and a politically active father in Japan, spiritual healing and social activism are profoundly personal to me. My clinical work is rooted in the teaching of Buddhism's liberating ideals of personal growth and collective social transformation.
