I believe the therapeutic process should focus on identifying the main root causes that are creating the patterns of challenges that we experience both personally and interpersonally. Once causality is identified, the process then begins working to develop the appropriate therapeutic tools necessary to create change and improve our lives and relationships

Online Telehealth Therapy... I enjoy various approaches to mental health and self-care. I enjoy many pints of ice-cream, bath bombs, a good book, spending time outside, and working out. Most importantly I believe we owe it ourselves, to make sure we are being taken care of and nourished, too, through our own mental health care. My approach to treatment is tailored to fit each person’s specific goals and needs, and I provide a comfortable and safe space for people to express themselves and work through their therapeutic experience.

There's little I can tell you that can't be found elsewhere on your own should you endeavor to look. Instead, the work of therapy is creating an interpersonal experience and process that will allow effective use of your own hindered and hidden capabilities. I'm proficient helping couples, families, and individuals ages 10+ with varying mental health needs and goals. I enjoy this work, which will be quickly evident to you!

The most important thing to me as your therapist is to offer you a safe place, where you can express yourself and be heard in a judgement free zone. I believe in being curious in therapy, and taking a client centered approach. You are your own authority. I am a trauma informed therapist and immerse myself in studying and learning the dance of trauma healing. I am a body based trauma therapist. We don't think ourselves out of trauma, we move through it with the wisdom of our body. I take a unique, gentle approach to processing the different aspects of trauma. I am intuitive and very open. Truly this work is my passion.

Amber graduated with her bachelor’s degree in psychology and is currently completing her master’s degree internship in Clinical Mental Health Counseling through Fort Hays State University. Her desire to help others and love of the field stems from her own journey of self-discovery and healing. She is passionate about learning and is always looking to expand her knowledge and treatment modalities. She is trained in Play Therapy, Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), and Domestic Violence. She has experience working with children, teens, and adults.

I have spent most of my time in the social work field working with children in the foster care system. I have seen the highs and the lows that come from those children in foster care and broken homes. I have worked hard to do all I can to help them feel safe in secure in their living environments. I enjoy working with both children and their parents to heal and become a better family unit. I also have experience in working with those who are on hospice and nearing the end of life, and helping families through the grieving process.

My passion is bringing hope and healing to individuals who have experienced a traumatic or stressful event or situation. When severe stress or trauma is experienced it is not unusual to feel unraveled or emotionally uprooted. I help my clients, who include children, adults, couples, and families, find hope and gain healthy perceptions of themselves. I enable clients to strengthen their relationships, so they can recognize themselves as the safe confident and complete individuals they are.

I love watching people heal from their emotional wounds and I love treating trauma. Whether we have anxiety, depression, or post traumatic stress, we all experience various levels of trauma. I enjoy getting to know people on a deeper, meaningful level, and then peeling back the surface layers of what is seen and exploring the unseen to get to the root of problems. Therapy, done well, is vulnerable and sometimes frightening, but it is incredibly rewarding for my clients and me.
