I practice holistic, trauma-informed care to help people feel understood and validated while providing tools to talk about and cope with areas of distress in their lives. Many of my clients have a history of trauma that has led to the development of addictions, eating disorders, distrust of others, poor self-esteem and relationship issues. I also work with people to adapt to chronic or acute health issues, terminal illness or other grief and loss issues.

I specialize in treating anxiety, depression, addictions/substance abuse, anger management, adult, couples and family, trauma, and LGBT issues.

I earned my Master's Degree in Mental Health Counseling at The University of The Rockies. I am a compassionate counselor who meets a client where they are and offers what is necessary to move past the pain and come out on the other side. I enjoy working with Individuals, families, couples, women and girls who have a history of sexual abuse or sex trafficking, and parents of children with disabilities. Other areas that I work with is depression, anxiety, emotional abuse, grief and loss, sex addiction, sexual health and wellness, and anger management.

An alternative to the standard book therapy many may experience, we specialize in real change and see ourselves as collaborators in that process. If you are dealing with mental health issues that don't seem to be resolving with traditional weekly talk therapy. An Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) might be beneficial. An IOP can provide skills to help with Emotional Regulation, Coping Stragegies, Communication Skills, Interpersonal Skills, Conflict Resolution and Mindfulness. Often medications may be necessary to help with symptom relief, our practice provides psychiatric assessments and medication management for those needing medications.

I have enjoyed working in Colorado Springs as a therapist for the past 20+ years with both individuals and group counseling.
