I've had the joy of working with children and families for nearly 20 years. I also am the founder/owner of "Preventative Health for Happy Families!" a boutique group practice specializing in Military Families. We embrace the philosophy of resiliency and take a strength based approach to motivate change. In session, we help with the development of basic life skills: management of difficult feelings, stress reduction, effective communication, parenting techniques, practical goal-setting, or improved problem solving. The end result? Thriving individuals, satisfied couples, cohesive families and happy children!
*Early Childhood- Hands-on with Parent & Child; *Families Living with Illness/Injury- Managing its impact on the family unit. *Military Families- Skills to be equipped to handle challenges (Deployments/Transitions) that accompany the Military lifestyle. *Mindfulness- Positive impacts on Academic Performance, Making friends, Managing stress, Overcoming ADHD, Insomnia, Overeating, Anxiety.
We utilize a wholistic approach in which we work together to conceptualize the needs of our clients. This allows our clinicians the unique opportunity to provide services from a systemic view. Our multi-pronged approach allows individual family members to support one another as they learn to practice new skills and healthier ways of living.
