As kids we learn reading and math yet not how to handle troubling feelings of fear, sadness, anger, and shame. Psychotherapy teaches you how to love yourself. You learn to discriminate between destructive self-criticism and positive self-correction.

I earned my MSW at Columbia University and trained as a Gestalt therapist. I've successfully treated lack of self-worth, depression, anxiety, addictions, emotional and sexual abuse, relationship issues, twins, artists and creativity, grieving, disability, retirement and living in the dying process. I see adolescents, adults, elderly, LGBTQ clients and couples.
