My name is Trish Overton, and I am a LPC-MHSP as well as a licensed school counselor. I am available to work with those of any age and stage in life. I am currently licensed as a School Counselor, and a LPC-MHSP(t). I am trained in Brainspotting and use that with my clients. I am a trauma certified counselor. I am a certified ACEs trainer for the state of Tennessee. I feel that I am a tool in the clients healing. I do believe there can be healing from trauma and it is my hope as a therapist to help clients to heal.
I try to make my sessions comfortable and as stress free as possible. I try to be relatable with my clients, as everyone has struggles and I don't want my clients to feel that I am any better than they are as the therapist.
I work with the clients needs to set the goals, and approach them at the pace the client can meet those goals. The firs session I do a lot of history gathering and ask questions about the clients needs in therapy.
