TEENAGERS ARE CRAZY! Well at least it seems like it for a few years. Raising a teenager can be a roller coaster ride, exciting and a little scary. Typically teens experience an enormous amount physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual growth during these years. Providing teens with the opportunity to take part in their own counseling allows them to further develop skills which promote independence. The Prevention Center, LLC will help your child improve their overall functioning at home, school, within the family, and with peers/social environment. We provide adolescent counseling to children ages 12- 18.
Therapy with adolescents is geared towards where they are in the stages of development. Counseling usually involves a mixture of individual and family involvement. We believe that teens can learn to identify the problem, can be aided in developing strategies for addressing the problem, and respond in loving and responsible ways.
