I believe in the healing benefits of the human/animal bond. I specialize in nature and animal-assisted therapy. I believe in working "outside of the box," of the traditional office-based setting by providing an alternative, experiential approach to child/adolescent counseling. Clients can partner with my animal companions while exploring their own ways of interacting with others, building self awareness and confidence and practicing skills. I have expertise in working with children with anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, behavioral concerns, LGBTQ+, issues of divorce, and blended families.
I am passionate about the healing benefits, wisdom gained and positive growth that occurs from interacting with animals and nature. The metaphors and wisdom shared in a session with a dog or guinea pig is a deeply powerful and moving experience for clients.
I am also passionate about helping parents be more confident and offer parent coaching.
