Getting an accurate diagnosis is the first step in treatment. I see patients who may be experiencing problems with attention, memory, or executive functioning (time management, organization/productivity concerns). Some individuals want to know if they have undiagnosed ADHD, Autism (adults), or early signs of Alzheimer's disease/dementia versus normal age-related changes. By interviewing and administering cognitive tests, I can provide individuals with a diagnosis, treatment recommendations, and a detailed written report. This information is essential for getting the right treatment and accommodations.
As a board-certified clinical neuropsychologist (18+ years), I provide comprehensive assessments of memory loss, attention difficulties, executive functioning, processing speed, ADHD, Adult ASD / Autism, Alzheimer's disease, dementia, and other neurocognitive conditions. I have expertise in financial capacity and guardianship/ conservatorship matters.
After 16 years of working at UAB, I decided to open up my own neuropsychological practice. I enjoy getting to spend more time with each patient. My goal is to provide high-quality assessment in a relaxed and comfortable environment.
