My personal view? That one size definitely does not fit all.
The issues and concerns that individuals are seeking to address include, but are not necessarily limited to, post-traumatic stress disorder, other trauma experiences, adjustment and life transition issues, grief, family conflict, stress, anxiety, depression, couples’ issues and conflict, and bipolar disorder. These issues and concerns often impact our ability to function effectively in our individual lives and in our relationships both personal and professional.
In order to best assist each individual that I serve, I utilize an integrative approach. This type of approach allows me to tailor the treatment to the individual specifically and will mean utilizing a number of techniques or therapies. These therapies often include, but are not limited to, person-centered therapy, solution-focused therapy, CBT, and CPT.
We all need help from time to time facing life’s challenges and navigating barriers in our lives. I whole-heartedly believe that effective therapy begins with a strong, healthy therapeutic relationship in an atmosphere where each individual can feel safe and free from judgement.
