Kylie is a licensed mental health counselor, licensed marriage and family counselor, and licensed chemical dependency counselor. She brings a high level of expertise, clinical experience, and a big heart to NW Family Psychology in helping children, adolescents, and their families work through tough issues, such as depression, anxiety, substance abuse, school failure, peer bullying, mood swings, parent-child conflicts, procrastination, failure to launch syndrome, etc.

Ashley loves working with adolescents, teens, adults, and couples presenting with diverse challenges in life. She recognizes that daily struggles often start to feel like battles, and her goal in her sessions is to foster a space for clients where they can let down their armor, study it, polish it, and feel more at peace beneath it. Ashley values holding clients accountable without judging them and challenging clients without belittling them. She loves working with clients who will come as they are, who will voice opinions, and enjoy collaborating!

I work with adults who struggle with relational challenges both with themselves and others which often results in symptoms of depression, anxiety, shame and more. Through both assessment and psychotherapy, I help people identify the contributing factors to why they feel the way they do so they are able to gain insight around what affects them and how they might respond differently in the future. My goal is to collaborate with patients so that they can build a repertoire of language around their emotional experience while building new relational skills so that they can be their own advocate and improve the way they feel.

Mark Adams, MA, LMHC, is a licensed mental health counselor practicing in Poulsbo, Washington. He has worked with children, adolescents, and adults in various community mental health settings since 1994. Mark has extensive experience working with issues of domestic disputes and high conflict. He has worked with adults to repair the damage and undo legacies of harmful behavior. Within the context of that work, Mark developed and co-facilitated a unique group for men dealing with issues of both abusive behavior and substance abuse.

Amanda L. Harmon, LMHC is a licensed mental health counselor. She graduated from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary with a MA in Counseling, specializing in the fields of mental health counseling and marriage and family therapy. Amanda is a certified Mental Health Specialist and Child Mental Health Specialist, and has advanced training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), with a focus on Trauma Focused-CBT and childhood traumatic grief through Harborview Center for Sexual Assault and Traumatic Stress.

Nancy Heilman, PhD, is a licensed clinical psychologist with over twenty-five years of experience working with children, teens, and families. Clinical treatment methods have included family therapy and parenting skills training, individual therapy for children and adolescents utilizing cognitive-behavioral interventions and skills-training.Specialties include anxiety and adjustment disorders, brain injury, neuro-developmental disorders, autism spectrum disorders, and chronic and terminal illness. Her clinical approach is primarily evidenced based, cognitive-behavioral, family systems, developmental, and neuro-biological in nature.

Nuri Kahn, DBH, LMFT, MHP is the clinical director of NW Family Psychology – Bainbridge Island. Dr. Kahn provides psychotherapy and other behavioral health services to children, adolescents, and adults seeking treatment for a wide range of clinical issues including anxiety, depression, impulse control, phobias, somatoform disorders, trauma, adjustment challenges, relationship discord and behavioral disorders. Dr. Kahn also specializes in behavioral health interventions for patients struggling with a variety of stressors including chronic illness, pain management, insomnia/fatigue, and health-related anxieties.

Angela Lujan, LMHC, CMHS, is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Child Mental Health Specialist. Angela has worked over the last several years with children/teens/young adults and their families, helping navigate relational hardships and conflicts. Angela is particularly drawn to working with youth and adults who struggle with interpersonal relationships, bullying, self-image issues, anxiety, depression, self-harm, grief and loss, trauma, learning disabilities, behavioral disorders, concerns with school performance, and various other emotional and behavioral challenges.

I utilize empirically-supported testing and clinical interviewing techniques to provide thorough psychological assessments and differential diagnoses. My treatment approach is grounded in Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy. I use evidence-based mindfulness exercises, cognitive-behavior therapy, and biofeedback training to help clients gain increasing awareness of their vulnerabilities and strengths. Clients change by learning to monitor and redirect dysfunctional thoughts before they manifest into undesirable behavior.

My counseling approach is to first help you clarify your presenting problems from an integrated mind-body-environment perspective. I utilize mindfulness to help you to develop clarity in the present moment, and art therapy and focusing-oriented psychotherapy to help you explore and embrace your inner wisdom and natural capacity for healing. Through CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy) and DBT (dialectical behavior therapy), we can compose an action plan together to develop new coping skills and better support your recovery. When working with children, I utilize art therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness approaches, children focusing techniques, and sensory integration concepts from my occupational therapy experience.

Kasia Hoskins, MA, LMFT is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a broad range of experience having worked both in community mental health settings as well as private practice. Kasia graduated in 2008 from Antioch University, Seattle, with a specialization in a child, couples, and family therapy. She has been licensed in her field since 2012. Kasia is passionate about assisting clients of all ages in the process of growth and change.
