Recent research highlights significant impact of combining physical activity with mindfulness on mental health. A 2023 University of Southampton study found this combination highly effective, while Harvard Health research indicates that yoga, Pilates, and resistance training are particularly beneficial for managing anxiety and depression. Additionally, public health data suggests, just 15 minutes of running or one hour of walking daily can reduce the risk of depression by 26%.
At Tri Life Wellness, our practice is rooted in these findings. We use strategies to address the mind body and soul simultaneously.
I'm Manuel Sandoval, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) dedicated to the science of "Mental Fitness." Research suggests that as little as 15 minutes of running a day can significantly lower the risk of depression, yet physical health is often left out of the therapy room. At Tri Life Wellness, exercise changes that, we work on the person as whole.
As a bilingual Latino LCSW trained in evidence-based practices specializing in trauma-responsive treatment. I combine clinical expertise with movement-based strategies (Yoga, Pilates, & Resistance training), to provide a comprehensive treatment plan for all ages dealing with anxiety, depression, substance use, PTSD, & or co-occurring disorders.
