I spent 15 years in law enforcement and served as an EMT before that. I've cleared rooms, worked fatals, and gone home pretending everything was fine. I know what that costs because I've paid it. I hold a PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision and am completing a second in Trauma-Informed Care. I trained in EMDR under Dr. E.C. Hurley, the foremost expert in military and public safety trauma processing, and I'm one of eight Associate Fellows worldwide at the Albert Ellis Institute. I serve as Clinical Mental Health Director for The Wounded Blue, supporting injured officers nationally.
