I understand how overwhelming life can feel at times. And how difficult it can be to find the time to take care of yourself. Especially if experiencing depression, anxiety or grief related to stressful life transitions. I believe you are ultimately the expert of your own life, but there are times when each of us could benefit from help. As your therapist, I will partner with you in an active, yet non-judgmental manner, to help you achieve your identified goals. My approach is eclectic, holistic and tapered to meet your unique needs.
Doctorate training and specialization in integrative health and co-morbid medical and psychological health concerns. Additional expertise and extensive counseling experience with LGBT individuals, couples and families; and pediatric and adult HIV. Additional specialty in college & career assessment and counseling for adolescents and adults. EMDR Trained; EMDR certification in process.
As a previous mind-body therapist and MBSR co-facilitator at the University of Arizona's Integrative Health Center; I've witnessed the benefits of understanding the mind-body connection and the importance of an integrated health care team. Upon consent and interest, I'll consult with your healthcare providers.
