Are you a military caregiver or spouse needing some support? I am a spouse to a Marine Wounded Warrior and have been a caregiver full-time to help with Combat PTSD and Traumatic Brain Injury. My goal is to help you to overcome the stress and lifestyle associated with the military while empowering you to become successful in your relationships. I work from a systemic approach with a nonjudgmental viewpoint. My experience allows me to understand the dynamics of a military relationship and gives the ability to relate. I enjoy working with people from ages 16- 35. These are exciting and challenging times. Many people graduate from high school, go to college, start careers and start families. These are times when people begin to get to know themselves and become their true selves. These transitions can come with unique challenges. Sometimes one's values do not align with their families values, or their talents are not celebrated in their community. It can be very difficult to balance the demands of school, extra-curricular activities and a social life. Also, life doesn't stand still so difficult events like death, divorce and break-ups happen.

I have been a licensed clinician since 1988. I started working with families in 1984. I have worked with clients as young as two and as mature as their nineties. I love working with couples, families, children, and teens; helping families with the challenges of adolescence and parenting. I work with couples recovering from infidelity and those desiring to strengthen their relationships. I work with PTSD, and Dissociative Disorders. I am trained in hypnotherapy, CBT, DBT, Integrative Holistic Therapy and EMDR. I was fortunate to complete my EMDR training (Levels I and II) with Francine Shapiro, PhD, EMDR's originator, in 1994.

Hello! I am a therapist, military spouse (recently retired) and Mom of 2. I have a passion for serving families who serve and sacrifice for our nation! For many years I lived the active duty military lifestyle. I know first-hand the pain of infertility as a military spouse and navigated fertility treatments in Military Training Facilities. I have lived through deployments and unaccompanied remote assignments as a young mom while managing home, kids, career and community service to fellow military spouses and families. I know the pain of being away from extended family, frequent moves and all the adventures of service life!

In Adventure Therapy, we engage together in hiking local parks, gardens and galleries, along with archery, kayaking, sunrise/sunsets or a litany of outdoor options in the Texas Hill Country. It’s not just about the activity itself, but about the feelings and clarity it evokes. It’s about overcoming barriers, building resilience, and gaining new perspectives.
