Though depression, anxiety, substance use, and trauma are all too common each manifests itself in subtle and complex forms.

Providing therapy and working to help patients is my lifelong passion. I take a strength based and trauma informed approach while working with patients who have a wide variety of mental health concerns. Entering into counseling takes both courage and vulnerability. I work with children, teens, adults, families, and couples, using an approach of trust and mutual respect, believing that every person is doing the best they can and has the ability to grow and learn. Identifying and drawing forth personal skills and strengths as well as an action plan for change is crucial for problem resolution. I address all areas to self-healing, working with body, mind, and Spirit. People are whole beings and all areas truly are connected.

Bodhi: "Awakening" or "enlightenment" . Humans have an innate need for connection. We long to be acknowledged, accepted, and understood. Often, however, we move through life unsure of who we really are and how to form genuine connections with others. We shape-shift to fit the mold of others' expectations which can lead to feelings of fear, resentment, and anger. This disconnect can cause interpersonal conflict and impact our families, friendships, and careers. Sometimes it feels as if we stumble through life with no direction. What would it mean to have a sense of awakening to oneself? to be enlightened to the authentic you?

Our foundation, which includes our childhood and the dynamics of our family, directly impacts our thoughts about ourselves and others. It affects our behaviors and relationships. Most of my clients have some sort of childhood trauma that is affecting their ability to move in a peaceful, productive direction. Understanding how the brain is affected, and how to incorporate positive thoughts and behaviors, can change a person's life. It takes courage to share our inner thoughts and experiences. I appreciate the strength in my clients and build on these, showing them they have what it takes to make positive changes.

I have over 16 years of experience working with people and families with complex mental health and substances abuse issues. I believe that you possess all the abilities and tools to bring change, gain control, and healing. My role is to guide you in discovering those abilities and to help you understand how to use them effectively.
