I’m a queer trauma family therapist with a background based in research & evidence based practice. I provide support for kids, adults & caregivers in transition & needing support with life’s many challenges. I specialize in skill building for friendships, trans affirming treatment, emotional dysregulation, confidence, general anxiety & grief. My goal is to provide a space for adults, parents & children to engage in therapy to promote strong bonds within the self & community, and become a self-sufficient unit outside of my care. Hello! My name is Tasha and I have a passion for working with individuals and families to improve not only the situation or circumstance that has prompted them to seek assistance, but to also improve their relationships (with self and others) to create an environment for their lives to thrive. My education includes a master’s degree in psychology from Walden University in Minneapolis, Minnesota, where I am currently a clinical psychology Ph.D. candidate. I am also a member of both the Washington State Psychological Association and the American Psychological Association.

Therapy is about learning how to tell our stories. It is deepening our courage to look ourselves in the face and tell the truth of what we find. It is taking in the bountiful love in the world though it sometimes seems impossible to find. It is learning to savor the taste of a good meal and laughter with others. It is more than common to find yourself feeling lost, overwhelmed, or disconnected at various times in your life because of those events. That's where therapy comes in! Dr. Kahn holds a doctoral degree in clinical behavioral health from Arizona State University. He also holds a master’s degree in clinical psychology and a bachelor’s degree with a concentration in psychology. He has received specialized training in individual, couples, and family systems therapy. He has also received additional training in health psychology, crisis intervention and trauma-based counseling.

My ideal client acknowledges that life is hard and is ready to get tools to work through it! The goal is to gain the tools to combat life’s struggles to include anxiety, depression, life transitions, trauma, negative self-image, and parenting.
