My role in this is to help you discern what you want to take with you along the way and explore with you what’s standing in the way of you living your most authentic life.

It can be difficult to discuss your life struggles, relationships, gender, and sexuality. I aim to create a non-judgmental therapeutic environment to freely explore your feelings, frustrations, and fears so you may gain a deeper understanding of self, feel more authentic, and make positive changes in your life. I work with individuals, couples, and families of any sexual or affectional identity, including adults (18+) and adolescents (13-17). I have additional training and experience in LGBTQ+ affirmative therapy, Gottman Method Couples Therapy Certification Level 1, and Janina Fisher Approach to Trauma Treatment.

As a queer Black, Indigenous therapist, I specialize in queer-affirmative therapy, sex therapy, racial & sexual identity formation, minority stress, and intergenerational trauma. I collaborate with clients through a social justice-oriented, culturally responsive, and systems-informed framework while rooted in a decolonial-based approach. This typically looks like working with individual adults who may be QTBIPOC, neurodiverse, navigating systemic inequities & oppression, struggling with life transitions, or someone experiencing the heaviness and despair of human suffering that may manifest as grief, loss, depression, and/or anxiety.

I have specialized training from UTA School of Social Work in Gerontology. I enjoy working with clients experiencing depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, anger concerns and domestic violence. Often the people who find me first are the families of my actual clients. They are seeking care for a loved one who is either developing symptoms or has been diagnosed with Psychosis. Most often families and friends don't really know what's happening, they just know that something has drastically changed. But finding treatment for Psychosis, outside of calling the 911 or going to an emergency department, is often very challenging. The good news is there is hope! Treatment for Psychosis has come a long way in the past years. The earlier a person starts treatment, then the better the outcomes are!

My clients often struggle with depression, anxiety or have experienced loss. Many have survived Trauma, and find it hard to be vulnerable. Relationships struggle, daily life hurts, and traditional approaches to healing just don’t seem to help.

I am a licensed clinical social worker with experience in providing culturally competent guidance and support to those 15+. I am passionate about helping those who feel unheard, marginalized, and/or left out - especially for those struggling with trauma, gender & sexual identity, depression, end-of-life of a beloved pet or human loved one, and anxiety.
