Olivia Taylor, LPC-MHSP is a licensed clinician at New Directions Wellness Center in Nashville, TN. Olivia has eleven plus years as a therapist specializing in providing therapy for children, adolescents and families. She has previous experience working with family court, DCS, and juvenile corrections. She comes to New Directions after working with children, adolescents, and adults in a community mental health setting for over 2 years.

I began counseling in New York when I was working as a chaplain during graduate school. I began in community centers, hospitals and prisons. During that time I discovered I have a genuine connection and desire to work with people suffering from the disease of addiction. When I returned to Nashville (the city of my birth), I began teaching middle school and high school, primarily with underserved populations. There I found that same connection with hard to reach youth, adolescents and their families. It is my sincere goal to help individuals, couples and families find a path to mental and emotional health and serenity.

As a licensed psychologist, I provide evidence-based treatment to meet the individualized needs of each person. My approach to therapy starts with providing immediate tools for improvement while working to establish an authentic connection. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who specializes in treating children and adolescents. I have been working with children for over 20 years and truly enjoy seeing children move from timid and anxious to confident and self assured. I can help kids deal with divorce, death, abuse, anxiety and many other issues that affect children and adolescents. I will help them to be better at dealing with life as it comes to them and to be more assured when things get hard. I am a Consultant with EMDR which is trauma therapy. I also see adults for EMDR as well with children and adolescents.
