Are you struggling to feel fulfilled in life? Does waking up and functioning day to day seem unnecessarily difficult? Are you experiencing symptoms of anxiety or depression, or the lasting effects of grief or trauma? Therapy can help. I utilize and have training in a range of therapeutic modalities including Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Expressive Art Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, as well as Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy. I tailor unique plans for each individual client or couple in order to empower them to better understand themselves, achieve their goals and feel more fulfilled.
My work is built on cultural competency and understanding the many barriers to care specific to minority communities. Although our culture prioritizes physical health, we rarely ever discuss mental health. This can make it so hard to have kindness and compassion for ourselves and/or our partner when we realize we’re struggling mentally or emotionally.
You will enjoy working with me if you are seeking a compassionate therapist. I believe that you are worthy of all things that bring you happiness, and that you deserve to be treated with compassion. I know that healing from trauma and taking care of your mental health is an ongoing process, and I’d love to opportunity to be a part of your journey.

Navigating Interracial Relationships

This group provides psychoeducation and emotional support for individuals in interracial relationships. Through the use of the gold-standard approach of the Gottman Method and influences from emotionally focused therapy, learn how to strengthen communication through the development of a healthier shared language with your partner(s). This group will make space for conversations around racism, stereotyping, and values identification. It will equip partner(s) with the tools to reduce their reactive responses, enhance compassion, de-escalate conflict, and be more attuned to cultural & familial differences.
