With 30 years in clinical practice, I've worked with multiple challenging issues. These issues include sexual abuse; sexual compulsion & addiction; substance abuse; Military/Veteran psychological health post-deployment; and high suicide risk. Trauma has been a recurrent theme throughout all of these treatment issues, and a I have developed a special interest in working with trauma and the surrounding issues. I particularly enjoy treating trauma with a combination of CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy).

I welcome to discuss and process life challenges and offer tools to help you navigate day-to-day difficulties and anxieties. I have experience with adolescent, marital, pre-marital, couples, individual, group(s), and family counseling.

I have worked in the field of counseling for approximately 30 years, working in a variety of settings - inpatient, outpatient, acute care, Intensive outpatient, and residential treatment. I feel having a positive, compassionate approach to each individual session provides hope and empowerment to make the necessary changes to improve one's life. Learning how to implement coping strategies in situations can alter the clients perspective in seeing opportunities for growth and self-efficacy.

I provide assessment and treatment of physical and mental health problems. I have forensic expertise and perform many types of specialized testing. I treat patients with complex challenges such as chronic pain, traumatic brain injury (TBI), and work injuries. My specialties include treatment of injury, opioid dependence, trauma, panic attacks, anxiety, and depression. I am trained in advanced psychological testing techniques. I use cognitive behavioral therapy, and other treatments that are supported by research. I help patients become aware of harmful patterns, and use mind body therapies including biofeedback and meditation.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 7 years of experience in the field of social work & mental health. I currently possess a Bachelor's & Master's Degree in Social Work. I have worked within a variety of settings (hospitals, Military, non-profit, Child Protective Services, in-home community services) with diverse individuals & populations that have provided me with valuable experiences. My goal is to provide high quality clinical care, which will be tailored specifically to meet your individual needs.
