WELCOME to Ellie Mental Health in South County STL. I'm so happy that you are here and are ready to start your or your loved ones mental health journey. I am the Clinic Director and would love to help you connect with one of my wonderfully, talented clinicians. We believe counseling can be a safe place to begin this healing. Myself and my clinicians aim to bring an authentic approach that includes humor, compassion, acceptance and creativity to the therapy room.

I love working with teenagers, college students and young adults ages 13-30. I most enjoy working with anxiety disorders (including OCD, phobias, and panic disorder), the effects of trauma, as well as LGBTQ clients. The majority of my training as a therapist has been in treating trauma, OCD and generalized anxiety. I am also a native Spanish speaker and love working with immigrant clients. Often, these individuals turn to drugs, alcohol, and other coping mechanisms that may be ineffective. My goal is to guide individuals in developing healthy coping skills to regulate emotions and improve quality of life. Individuals who tend to best fit my approach are open to a collaborative space to explore thinking patterns, unhealthy behaviors and strengths to explore steps towards healthy lifestyle changes. It can be difficult trusting someone with your precious emotions and challenging experiences. The work can be difficult at times, but the growth will be worthwhile.

Whether from depression, anxiety or trauma, many clients experiencing emotional pain feel stuck, alone and misunderstood. I believe that healing is always possible. It is important for someone to be with you, to hear your story and to help you get to that place of healing.

Change does not occur by magic but through courage. You may want to change by tomorrow or you just may want to window shop what change might look like in your life. Wherever you are at in process of change I can collaborate with you on the goals that you wish to achieve. With almost 20 years of experience in psychotherapy practice as well as post-graduate certified training and supervision in a multitude of therapeutic modalities, I would be honored to serve you in the empathic, and collaborative process of change.

Hello- my name is Lauren Robinson, and I am a Marriage and Family Therapist. I am a solution-focused, trauma-informed and strengths based mental health practitioner, looking to support my clients in an approachable and supportive way. I know life can throw us curve-balls from time to time, and I want to be there to support and guide my clients and their families in whatever ways possible. We spend a lot of our lives trying to be who others want us to be or who we imagine ourselves to be. But if we put aside those expectations, who are we? Who can we become?
